Weak story

It's kinda sad but extremely understandable that this small 3 paragraph story is the amount of attention these teams garner.  The Marlins are one of the best young teams and have won what 2 world titles in the last 8 years and the Royals have been one of the unlikely surprises of this years early season.  I can only hope the Royals continue to pitch strong and get better offensively.  We need to go into Boston and make a statment take at least 2 of 3 then maybe someone will write a story longer than 5 sentences.

As for the game Jose Guillen is starting to hit the cover off the ball. Grienke continues to make his claim for the A.L. Cy young with another game under 3 runs...  My cautious optimism has turned to flat out confidence.  This team has been competing for a quarter of a season and has continued to improve.  I can't wait see how we play in Boston

So that will be Hochaver, Meche, Tomko, then Bannister.  Isn't it odd that out off those 4 Meche gives me the most concern.  Luke is discovering what it is like to be a big league pitcher.  You know what you are getting with Tomko (if fact he's been better than expected), 6Inn, 2-3 SO, 1-2BB, 3-4R.  Kind of Odalis Perez but better.  Bannister is Bannister.  But where is Meche?  Whenever he has a decent outing he backs it up with a sub-par,  6 run gimme.  And you can't blame the offense as much this year.  Sure it is a little anemic but it is picking up and showing some decent life.  I still believe in Gil but I'm wondering when the consistancy will start.
