Anyone else glad we signed Rex Hadnot this offseason?  I'll be the first to admit I questioned that signing, but I guess this is one more time that Savage proves he knows more than me.  I wonder how this injury might impact the rest of Tucker's career.  It may even shorten it.  Tucker was getting up there in years anyhow, so maybe this will lead him to call it quits after the 08 or 09 season.  It's nice to have an injury to a starting player and not hit the panic button for once.  In Phil I trust.

I definatly agree with you man -- I was skeptical too about this acquisition, I wasn't sure where Hadnot would fit in and I was worried they were thinking about not using Fraley anymore after he had a great season last year.  Now I can see why this pickup was made.  On that note, Tucker is not irreplaceable but he is a valueable and reliable player (Hard to say how many years he has left, especially with this injury playing into it).  Like you said, normally if a Browns OL was to go down in the preseason it would be time to panic but fortunately we have a considerable amount of line depth right now and we can continue to thank Phil Savage for that...

His career is dead. No doctor is going to release him to work in the NFL trenches with hardware in his leg. It tends to lead to fractures just below the plate. Two months to heal. Then remove the plate and two more months to heal. 4 months minimum.

well atleast you guys have the depth you need. i must say i really enjoyed seeing the Browns coming out of no where last year. i dont know if you guys can overtake the Steelers, but im definantly thinking you guys will be super competitive. i have the browns slated as a wild card with the jags this year. that opening game ought to show you how you guys are ha

between tucker, mckinney, hadnot and bentley the Browns will have a right guard.  Nice to see them having depth on the o-line.

i disagree with the first game setting the tone for the last 15 though.  If you were to do that last season the browns would've been 0-16.

Those matters aside with a pass blocking oline like cleveland has any qb in the league would look decent behind it.  Time to get a qb who wont single handedly lose games and eliminate you from the playoffs like derrick anderson.  Leftwich would look better taking a nap with his square wheels in the pocket than anderson.

Yeah no kidding, with the schedual the Browns must travel (9 games against playoff teams) the need depth and to stay healthy.  I was curious if anyone has heard anything good or bad about LeCharles Bentley. Will he ever see the field?

i am thrilled that we signed hadnot , you are right about tucker being able to continue . He has had his share of problems stating healthy and throw in the four game suspension and he could be on his way out the door .

it is time for Isaac Sowells to justify his draft status . i think he was a third or fourth round pick by Phil. it also brings up the Bentley question ?. Well he or wont he play . with McKinney's also having a history with injuries i think  a free agent O-Lineman might make the team this year .. nice post ehellier55
