"... I see 11-year straight couples kissing in public...and I don't want to see that either...so maybe we should outlaw dating until you're 16. ..."
Go for it, you have my support. And I also say, once they show no regard for moderating thier own lil population explosion of fatherless babies, neuter them.
"... There has always been gay people throughout history, it is only now where people are starting to recognize and accept them. ..."
I have to strongly dissagree. Gays are becoming more and more numerous as we speak. Its the "in thing" right now. Peopl eare experimenting with it at very young ages, fueled by what they see and hear. Look up some numbers on the quantities of homosexuals in the US and you might notice it is rising every year. That is "trend", not natural gayness just come out of the closet.
the number of people on this thread that have admitted to being repulsed by two men being with each other, but don't mind it if two woman start sucking each-others faces off in public. The reason is simple really. Men like women, Men like to see women getting it on. Two women together is twice as good as a woman and a man. Two men together has nothing a man wants to see.
I think there is a big difference between "experimenting" or exploring a curiosity and being gay. I don't know if there are more "experiments" or if there is more gayness in society today than before, although I think it is more open.
Still, gays and lesbians are very much a small minority and forever will remain a small minority. The attraction of man to woman is the norm.
Is the dictionary carved in stone or is it ever changing? I think you're missing the point of what gay people are fighting for. They not only want the same rights as straight people, they also want the actual definition of marriage changed to include them. Civil unions and anything less than actual marriages isn't enough. We live in a country that spouts crap about freedom all over the world, yet we still oppress people in our own "free" country for something as trivial as their sexual orientation. Grow up. Those California Supreme Court justices thankfully had the stones to set things right. Hopefully their decision holds up.
