I live in Austin TX, and former Bronco and UT player Dan Neil lives here and appears on the radio often.

He was recently on and asked about the Raider-Bronco rivalry. Loosely quoted:

"Whenever we played the Raiders, all the Broncos players knew to stay as close to the sidelines as possible. If you got too close to the stands it was guaranteed you'd get spit on, have a drink dumped on you, or have something thrown at you!

Sometimes we wouldn't tell the rookies this and laugh at them when they came back from being too near the stands drenched in beer!!"

I thought that was hilarious!! I can just imagine Raiders fans keeping an extra $7 beer handy just in case any Bronco is stupid enough to wander within striking distance. You lose a $7 beer but probably have people buy your drinks for the rest of the game.

Two more funny Dan Neil quotes:

"Cornerbacks are just wide receivers that can't catch the ball. Your HS coach lines up all they guys that look like WRs and starts throwing them the ball. You drop an easy one and coach says, 'You'll play CB!'"I could see that happening.

"Defensive lineman are the dumbest players on the field. Teams have certain Wuderlich score requirements for each position. QBs and O-linemen have the highest requirements. The D-line was the only position that didn't have any requirement!

Seriously, these guys are so dumb! They have two assignments, gap A or gap B and they're still be wrong more than half the time! It's just like with receivers a cornerbacks - If you're big and smart you play OL, if you're big and dumb you play DL."

Thats why they call it the black hole, if you get to close you're sucked in!  Pretty funny stuff though Crispy, even from a Bronco. Lol

I remember watching an NFL show where they showed Randy Moss warning up before playing us...  He was talking to one of the other Minnesota players, and was asked,  "Yo man..  that's the  Black Hole..  You gonna go check it out??"   Moss replied ," Nah man..  I'm not going near there..  It doesn't look safe!!."    LMAO.

I think this was the year before we got him...  Charles Woodson shut him down in that game...

Warren Sapp says, "Bad things in the Black Hole Man.. Bad things..."

I could easily see some Bronco veterans on the side lines,

"Hey! Look, look look! (Rookie so-and-so) is getting near the stands!"

"Oh man, this is gonna be funny!"

"Oh look! He just got spit on and doesn't even know it!"

"Look. Those guys are getting their beers ready!"

"Closer....closer....wait for it....here it comes!!!!"

Five full beers simultaneously get dumped on the poor fools head, while about 8 veterans are either rolling on the ground or pointing and laughing!!!

I'd like to go to a Broncos vs. Raiders game just to see if it happens. But I know even wearing no Broncos stuff, I'd accidentally cheer for the Broncos and receive the same kinda treatment!!! (If I even made it outta the stadium alive!)

Money well spent.

You lose a $7 beer but probably have people buy your drinks for the rest of the game.

Forget stocks and bonds. THIS is where investments yield the highest, fastest returns.
