Man, i have read some crazy posts on this thread. Folks saying this, folks saying that, it really is quite incredible. How any one knows how "cocky" the Dawgs are, must be privy to some information no one else knows about because I haven't read, seen or heard of any of the Bulldog players say or do anything to be able to insinuate such. Now, as for some of the fans.... I see it on this thread alone in the fact that many new Dawg fans seem to be coming out of the proverbial Dawghouse and making some pretty outlandish statements , that to me, read ridiculous. I hope some folks on both sides take of the over-the-top homer glasses and try to be a bit more intelligent with their statements because some of them are quite simply embarrassing to this Dawg fan. God bless each of you, but damn, lets get real.
As for the Tennessee game, really no excuses, but to say UGA should have won that game is blind and simply acknowledging only the score, with total disregard of some other factors that probably came into play to cause such a beating. And for those calling Stafford a POS, basically.... well, I too, will wait and let this year be "judgement" year. As DRoss stated, UGA has a solid cast of players, in both the starting line up and as back ups, and are an extremely deep team with a balance of youth and veterans, but primarily youth. The team is coached by a man of Faith and can promise you, the kids that play for him and the rest of the coaching staff believe 100% in what is being taught to them and will listen to the guidance CMR is teaching them. UGA is not a team of individuals out doing everything they can to be about themselves and firmly believe that the Georgia Bulldogs are comprised of Team First, me last players and will leave it out on the field this upcoming year.
Will they win all their games? Who knows... it might happen. Could they lose three games? Hell yes! I will leave it with this final summarization, UGA is fielding ONE of their more talented teams in their history. The coaching staff is about as solid as it gets. Our first year OC(Mike Bobo) last year did a pretty amazing job once the three freshman starting O-line began to gel. Our defense really came together after our LB situation got stabilized after the Tennessee game. Not my words, these were CMR's words when asked to reflect on last year's season(from Rivals, too long ago to search and link... just trust me. And no, not an excuse for the loss.) Stafford began to control the offense when our freshman sensation began getting regular playing time and opened up the field for MS to beat teams who tried to jump the run. It is play action passing to a tee! This should continue with an arsenal which will include more offensive weapons and a defense that will be about as quick and deep as anyone in the country.
Time will tell.
Wow, sorry, but I guess this just had to come out..... again. Dang it! Who let me into the liquor cabinet.... BigDawg? ; )
