Mano – I’m shocked. You didn’t bring up Hoya’s website. It has Davenport with a substantially higher DPAR than Parker. However I think Parker is an immeasurably better back. If you look at Parker and Lewis’ stats during the last 4 years they are remarkably close. Of course the Steelers during that time has put more emphasis on the run vice the Ravens where Lewis has spent that last 3 of 4 years. Parker is the shiftier runner, whereas Lewis though shifty in his own right is considered more of a power back. Both hit the hole in a dead heat. IMO Lewis and Bettis are similar style and ability runners. Both may actually make it to the HOF. Parker though a good back is no where near Bettis or Lewis, especially when viewed from a career longevity/productivity viewpoint. Do you honestly think that Parker’s frame could hold up to the NFL pounding for 5 more years and be as good as Jamal is? He’s already showing signs of wear. Jamal has withstood all that and is still one of the top rushers in the league. That’s why I think the Steelers picked Mendenhall. Mendenhall could easily bulk up to 225lbs and be your future Bettis. Parker on the other hand I believe could be either the #2 back or be gone in 2-3 years.
As for longsnapper, I think Warren could give Pontbriand a run for his money and could eventually be one of the tops in the league. However he only has two years as a body of work. Pointbriand has 5years with the same degree of perfection and clearly has had more work, basically because the Browns have had poor teams and were punting frequently. He’s as reliable and automatic a they come.
