Colin Cowherd of E**N Radio went on a semi rant on his nationally syndicated radio show Friday morning. Cowherd is a west coast/ USC guy. I think hes actually from Oregon but he is a big Pete carroll/USC guy, always bragging on them. In his monologue he stated that the SEC is by far the deepest and best conference in college football having bigger stadiums, bigger fans bases, more intense rivalries and easily more talent on the field from top to bottom than any other conference. He stated that the SEC has 5 teams with more than 30 players on active NFL rosters and no other conference has more than one. (If that stat is wrong, write to him, not me) he concluded with the statement that SEC teams have to play against future NFL talent on a weekly basis and other conferences have to face that only a couple times a year. Which is why I have said that just because a WVU beats OU in a bowl doesnt mean they could even get to that type of bowl if they played in the SEC etc. What are people opinions on his statements? They come from an unbiased source so you can throw the "homerism" statements out the window.

Yo bump it!  BTW Im not taking a shot at WVU, just using them as an example. ALSO, I JUST HEARD KIRK HERBSTREIT @ 11:56 AM state on E**N  Sportsce**er  that the SEC is BY FAR the deepest, best conference in college football, obviously, hes a big 10 guy.

NFL talent on a weekly basis? Vandy and Kentucky don't have future NFL talent, I think he might have gone a bit far but he is right it is the deepest and best conference.

Gator 93  I beg to differ at least with Kentucky.  I know Andre Woodson Keenan Burton and Derrick Locke are all NFL caliber and thats was their QB ,WR and RB. Thats fairly impressive talent on offense.
