Good evening my fine feathered friends, and welcome back to another edition of Spits PICKS for

May 16th, 2008

As you may or may not know, I've been supplying free picks to the free community since 12.7.7

I dabble in most sports, but my forte is football, although I had a successful college basketball

season, and am on the + side with the dogs of the NBA.

I also support and provide a BLOG here when something warrants one, for what you might say are tools from

the tool shed relating to the gaming business. As well as the COMMUNITY PICK OF THE DAY, and a few other

entertainment items for your viewing pleasure.

Hoping that you find your visit to SPITS picks a pleasant one. All are welcome, but trolls, negativity, and bashing will be checked at the door

prior to entering.

I've found plays on (both) NBA games this evening, and a few select inter-conference MLB games.

I normally open my thread around 7:00 a.m. EST each morning, M-F, and when I awake on Saturday and Sunday's.

I normally place my picks (depending on the season) by 6:00 p.m. EST M-F, and when appropriate on the weekends.

I don't bet horses.

I don't bet golf.

I don't bet soccer.

I don't bet tennis.

I don't bet hockey. (ok, I do, but I suck at it.)

I love NASCAR, and always have a line on the top 5 drivers each Friday or Saturday night by 6:00 p.m. EST

Having said that, I do take great pride in this community, and have and will on occasion, place a wager on what I've learned from another here, and share that pick with you as well. We've got some wonderful handicapping abilities here..special people with special talents and insights into sports that I don't have the time to CAP.

I have a software package of sorts that I use for all of the PICKS that I make.

That package is SPITS. ( which is short for a sports information technology system)

As such, I'm a numbers man. And while emotion does play a part in all sports, I find that the numbers are of the greatest value to me. Long term.)

I pull the trigger on any game in which I feel I have a 55% chance of winning.

As such I'm a high volume, and high dollar player. (I play several thousand games in a 365 day year)

I am of the belief that you need to take advantage of as many opportunities as possible, and have documented proof that your ROI, or return on your investment, is of much more importance than your winning percentage.

Over the past few decades, I have found that I need to have a 55 to 57% winning percentage in order to stay in this business, and make it worth the hours that I put into it. I'm also the first to point out that the TOUTS of this business that say they have a 60 or 70% winning percentage over any given year are not being truthful to you. And I suggest if they were at that level, they wouldn't be here with you, but rather in Vegas.

I wager the same amount or unit on each and every single game of the year.

I adjust my wager amount per game once per year. With my year ending, or year beginning at the first college football game of the year. (August)

Having said this, I don't believe that you can be successful in this business long term, betting differing amounts on each game. And often tell folks to stay away from the 5* 10* or 100* game of the year. It's phony. It's a business to get you sucked into buying their picks.

I have more enemies than friends here. But the enemies and trolls that hate me most, are those that can't stand me providing FREE picks, 365, which takes you away from them, and their profit margins. I don't pull any punches. This business is huge, and JTG has a target on his back at all times.

What makes me different? My picks are documented, and have been documented from day one. If I l suck, or have a string of bad lady luck, I'm not hiding it, or running away. Everyone has lady luck with them, or against them..but those that survive this business as I have realize this, and know that the good and the bad eventually end.

Good luck to you and yours, and thank you for taking the time to read this novel.

Feel free to look at my posts dating back to 12.7.7 that include my daily picks and winning percentage. As well as several informative editorials and blog posts that provide you everything you need to do in order to be successful in this business.

Peace on the Journey,

~JImmy

I'm sorry that my formatting is so UGLY......but I'm also an APPLE freak, and as such normally use Safari as my browser of choice, but can see that's not going to work here.

So I'm now posting on FIREFOX that allows for a much cleaner viewing pleasure, and allows me to play with toys like this

And also provides me BOLD, and the ability to show you timely URL's and stories that you need to read or be up on regarding sports gaming.

Anyway, give me a few days, and I'll have a good looking thread, and easy to read picks.

Good luck to all, and to all a good night!
~JTG

ps. Some trolls have suggested that I'm everything from a child porn threat, to providing information that promotes gambling to minors. This is BUNK, and an attempt to make me go away. I simply ask you to use your own judgement of me, and should you ever find that I'm not providing you value, or doing something that is in any way, shape, or form not of a high ethic or integrity, that you let me know. Face to face.

Many ask what websites and or technology I use to get the latest or most live updates available. I've provided a phone number in the past that updates all sports every 15 or 20 minutes, for when you're out of town, or not close to your PC. (let me know if you need this number again)

Anyway, I wanted to alert you to a new scoreboard for MLB from our friends at Sports Network...it's a nice little visual of the ball diamond, and is about as live as you can get.

I found it to be fun, and nice to keep open in the background to see how any of my games in baseball are going for the night.

You can find it here;

www.sportsnetwork.com/merge/tsnform.aspx

Please note that unless a game is in progress, what I'm talking about won't be displayed in the post above...but when a game is in progress, click on the AT THE BALLPARK....OR  I think it might be @ the ballpark, and you'll see the game and field that I'm excited to share with you.

Peace!
~Jimmy

It ain't as bad as you think.

It will look better in the morning

Get mad, then get over it.

Avoid having your ego so close to your position

It can be done!

Be careful what you choose.  You may get it.

Don't let adverse facts stand in the way

of a good decision.

You can't make someone else's choices.

You shouldn't let someone else make yours.
