That is the dumbest idea i have ever heard, what is this fantasy baseball??, Why are people giving up on Prince just because we signed Braun, its rediculous... Not to mention that trade financially makes no sense

Why exactly would we trade Prince? The guy hit 50 homers last season. He should average at least 35 homers and 100 RBI for the next decade. I agree we need pitching, but if we trade Prince away, we better get back a 20 game winner and a closer. This is a case of not being satisfied with the All-Star that we already have and wanting something else.

Explain. From what I can see, financially the Brewers end up better out of the deal in the short term, and they end up way better in the long term when you consider what Prince is going to cost.
Why are people giving up on Prince just because we signed Braun
I can see nothing but a bad ending for Prince in Milwaukee because of his agent Scott Boras. The fact that Mark A. said on the Brewers broadcast yesterday Prince will be going to arbitration for the first time next year...you can kind of get a sense of what he thinks of the situation from that. I don't know that he meant to say that, but that's what came out. Boras refuses to lock guys up long-term unless it's a ridiculous deal (somewhere in the $100 million range). What makes you think Boras is going to change his mind just for the Brewers? The Brewers probably can't afford $100 million - and they definitely can't afford to let Prince walk from this franchise - so at best it's 2 more years of Prince. Because of his agent, I can see Prince giving the Brewers the same "hometown discount" that Cordero did - that is, he'll let the Brewers get into a bidding war (that they'll lose) for his services. In the meantime, Brewers fans will continue to get uninspiring performances from him until he's happy about his contract. So I say why not get some more guys here (like Braun) that appreciate this franchise and are able to mutually agree on what's good for both the Brewers and themselves?

As will almost every major league 1st baseman.
This is a case of not being satisfied with the All-Star that we already have and wanting something else.
It's more of a case of seeing a guy complain about his contract and then play like crap after he does so.

You're right, though, Hart's doing just fine. Or maybe not.
You sound more idiotic every time you open your mouth. So Hart isn't the best RF in the division, that automatically means he's struggling? Once again, he's the only one of the team batting over .300 and he leads the NL in AVG w/RISP.
You think you're intelligent when in the course of 2 days you said that Corey Hart is struggling and the Brewers should trade Prince Fielder for this band of misfits? I'm done reading anything you post. I feel less intelligent with every word you type. Good grief.

Well, since I believe that he IS the best RF in the division, the fact that he ranks no higher than 3rd in any offensive category would cause me to believe he is struggling. Yes, I believe that's the way it works.
the Brewers should trade Prince Fielder for this band of misfits?
It's hardly a band of misfits. Lyle Overbay would lead the Brewers in OBP and is a plus defender. Aaron Hill @ 3B > > Bill Hall @ 3B. Shawn Marcum is 16-8 with a 3.64 ERA as a starter in the AL East over the last 2 years. Scott Downs is 4-3 with a 2.28 ERA in 100 appearances over the last 2 years. We'd actually probably have to give more.
I'm done reading anything you post. I feel less intelligent with every word you type. Good grief.
The thing is, though, I do my research (as in this case and with Corey Hart) - I usually don't just post things based on my opinion. I usually have facts to back up what I'm saying. I also consider the big picture - not just the here and now. I tend to believe that there is no way Prince is a Brewer in 2011 (which is his last arbitration eligible year). I also don't think there's any way Ben Sheets is a Brewer next year. I could be wrong, and I hope I am.
I'm not giving up on the season - I'm just suggesting they change the landscape of the franchise - because the way it is right now seems not to be working. I don't think it's because of the manager - I think it's the players. So, I ask, why not change the players?

Before anyone even argues that Hart could play center...if he could, why isn't he there, and why don't we have Geoff Jenkins in right instead of Mike Cameron in center?Because Cameron is better. Braun can play right field, why isn't he? Because Hart is better. Cameron is signed for one year
If you think every starting 1B in the majors averages 35 homers and 100 RBIs over a ten year period you haven't been paying much attention. That makes you a Hall of Fame player, only a select few greats can do that

If you think every starting 1B in the majors averages 35 homers and 100 RBIs over a ten year period you haven't been paying much attention. That makes you a Hall of Fame player, only a select few greats can do that
So that would mean if you exclude the seasons in which they were injured that each of the following are either HOFer's, on their way, or close:
Richie Sexson, Paul Konerko, Jason Giambi, Todd Helton, Carlos Delgado, Mark Teixeira, Lance Berkman, Prince Fielder, Ryan Howard, Albert Pujols, David Ortiz, Justin Morneau, Travis Hafner, and Derrek Lee
There are 14 guys listed there - maybe not every... but about half. And this list is void of some pretty good 1B (Carlos Guillen, Adam LaRoche, Nick Johnson, Adrian Gonzalez, Mike Jacobs, Lyle Overbay, Kevin Youkilis, Conor Jackson, Sean Casey, James Loney and Carlos Pena). If you add those 11, then you're talking about 25 1B. Now, there isn't a single guy on either list that you're going to tell me is not a good hitter. So, yes, I can minimize the importance of a good hitting 1B.
