I was reading other post on the Titans message board and it got me thinking. What are our needs on D. Some say its DE others say it is DB. Like everyone says we need a big play wideout on O but what do we need on D. if anything.

please explain why you think we need this position

I voted DL because Jevon Kearse is injury prone and Albert Haynesworth may be gone in 2009.

I feel like the Titans could use some serious help at CB.  They have starters Finnegan and Harper who are good CBs but will never be close to Pro Bowl caliber in my mind.  The problem is the depth.  Backups King, Carr, and Hill are all very inexperienced and haven't shown much yet at the CB position.  They grabbed a CB from Washburn late in the draft as a project but I think they could use a third CB with some experience to step in nickle situations and for depth in case of injuries.

With Pac gone we need to focus on bringing in a franchise CB.  Look at the Chargers.  they have two Pro Bowl caliber starters and two young backups in Antoine Cason (1st pick) and Oliver (supplemental pick 3rd) to help with depth at the position for years to come.  The titans need to get some help there or hope they don't have any injuries at all.

i vote CB

of course if the front 7 doesn't do it's job, it doesn't matter who we have back in the secondary

the need isn't as glaring on defense...obviously if we lose Haynesworth then Dline becomes a must but we'll see

I got to go with CB. I mean we lost Pacman. So we dont really have any CB that are like WOW or anything like that. But who knows they might step it up this year. But if we lose Haynesworth then that put us in the whole big time then. But hopefully things will work out and he will stay.

really i think that Finnegan can develop into a pro bowl calibur player i mean comon last year was his first year starting corner out of division 1-AA samford

i voted corner to though because harper can't do crap against a fast receiver

but i also have a sleeper this year at corner
Eric King the guy is a monster and he does exactly what the Titans want Run support seriously when he got in last year he was smashing people then just happened to break his arm the first game he got signifigant playing time in

Finny is the future . . . Harper is good enough for now . . . but how about Lito Sheppard?  He is available . . .

If its plural....i say D Line, you could never have enough DLine....but i thought it was if we could get one great Player on D...what Position....

I said Linebacker......Keith and David our great but we need a great MLB who can read the defense....i think thats why last year the teams always got 10+ yards on screens because our MLBs dont really know how to read the offense that good
