If Desean is going to get any reasonable amount of playing time at the wide receiver position, he will first have to prove himself on special teams in my opinion.  If he can make solid punt/kick returns and break a couple for a touchdown, other teams will take notice of his speed and potential.  Once that occurs, throwing him in as a receiver will not only potentially result in some big plays from him, but other teams will have to acknowledge his speed and presence on the field, hopefully creating a distraction opening up other play makers.  But, none of that matters if he ends up being a bust.  Though Jerry Rice has spoken very highly of him, and Im sure Jerry knows what hes talking about.

What he does as a WR really doesn't matter much to me....

I'm excited for finally having a legit kick returner....

Better field position should result in more points....

More points for a Top 10 defense, which was improved in the off-season, should result in more wins...

Anxious to see how this pans out....

Cant coach speed. If Devin Hester can line up at WR and out run the coverage-Im confident that Jackson can do the same. Lets not forget that Jackson is a actual WR. His SPT play will be huge also. If he is healthy through out the year I cant see why he couldn't have atleast 6TD's. I will be trying to get him for my fantasy as a ready reserve.

Man who knows how he will pan out. That goes for every kid that was drafted this year.Maybe he is soft or maybe he will be burning that Dallas secondary ( i hope ) for years to come. The kid looks like he can catch though.Nice hands for a little guy :)

someone had to have mentioned how outstanding this kids hands are. guy catches everything. check out his Cal and HS youtubes. I am excited. if we have a guy with speed, quickness, and hands, i will take it. who since chris carter has anyone fit that discription (besides T. crybaby O.)? he's two inches taller than Steve Smith and only 1.5 inches shorter than donte stalworth.

some sites have him listed 5'11 and some at 5'9  either way im still worried to see if the kid can take a hit from an NFL safety or linebacker and come back the next down and catch the ball around coverage w/o beeing scared

how bout say he's some where in between like i dont know 5'10 maybe

he's 5'9

he'll be a major boost to the return game and pitch in as WR. looking for him on end around, WR screens, and a deep threat. if your thinking we have a 50+ rec/5+ TD guy in 2008 you'll be disappointed. If we can get 30 grabs from him at WR on top of his special teams, i'll be happy. Anything above 30 rec in 08 i'd be borderline thrilled.
