its a tuff schedule but i think the dawgs can get through it with a one loss record and that should be enough to get us into the bcs campionchip game

Hm well I hope to say we can get out of it with only one loss. I mean Florida going to be hard along with LSU. Thoughs games r going to very close and very scary. But u know the bama game is going to be scary. It came down the line last year. So we will have to wait and see.

Im pretty sure this will be another classic Georgia year. Alot of hype, then Georgia doesnt live up to it and finishes somewhere towards the tail end of the top 10. I dont know how LSU, UF and UT made it through the SEC to play for a NC and Georgia just simply cant break through with all the talent they recruit. They always seem to lose to someone bad (like South Carolina). I see another year where the Bulldog fans have hope and UGA just has hype. UGA hasnt done anything since 1980.

Hey sportsgod, the only reason UF got to play in the NC is because they wouldn't allow Michigan to play OSU again.
The only reason LSU got to play was because there were about a thousand upsets in the final few weeks.
Luck has alot to do with NC appearances, i'd be more humble if I were you, gator fan.

Keep in mind, when Florida went 2 years ago, they had one of the toughest schedules in the land. LSU's schedule was pretty tough as well last year. LSU also had a pretty tough schedule in 2003. As for the smug Florida fan, Ross is right about Florida catching some lucky breaks, ie USC losing to UCLA and the BCS not allowing Michigan to play a rematch with OSU. Granted, Florida did mop the floor with OSU, but without some luck it couldn't have happened. And we all know about how LSU got into the game last year. The system isn't perfect, I just hope that Georgia can do it. We have the talent we just have to have it mentally. Losing to South Carolina was probably one of the best things that could have happened to Georgia as far as 2008 goes. Now we know that these inferior teams can screw us out of the big prize if we aren't prepared.

I personally do not think we need any help from anybody but ourselves(players, coaches & fans). I know we have the talent as well as the ability. My concern is if CMR drops the hammer in the games we can to give us a decisive spread in the eyes of the pollsters. I would love to see an average score of 50+ pts. I think our D is ready as long as slick Willie lets the dawgs off the leash. Knowson, Caleb and Richard Samuels should keep defenders at bay long enough for Matt to find a new stud receiver, and Kris Durham is as good of a possession receiver as there is in the country. Not to mention Figgins first and I think only catch last year was for a score. Granted I am heavily biased, but the fact still remains, we have the talent, momentum and ranking to go straight to Miami. To go along with the tough schedule this is actually a bonus, that way when we do make it to the NC game there will not be a question as to whether we deserve to be there or not!
Gooooo Dawgs!

I guess at some point you would think you Dawgs would be tired of the way your seasons are ending up (AP)
2002: 3rd
2003: 7th
2004: 7th
2005: 10th
2006: 23rd
2007: 2nd
When is Georgia ever going to get over the hump? What you are saying is they arent lucky? All that talent, all those players and all those losses. Dont get me wrong those rankings above are the rankings of a good team. But not a great team. Great teams like LSU, USC, OSU, UF, Texas win CHAMPIONSHIPS. Or atleast get to championship games, maybe y'all will atleast win your division this year!

PERSONALLY I THINK UGA WON THE NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP LAST YEAR. WEREN'T THEY RANKED #2 BEFORE THEY HAD THE BOWL GAMES? HOW DO YOU GET JUMPED BY NOT PLAYING? BETTER YET OKLAHOMA A FEW YEARS AGO GOT WHIPPED IN THERE CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP AND THEN WENT TO NATIONAL TITLE GAME. WHAT IN THE HELL IS THAT? I SAY ALL CONFERNCES SHOULD EITHER HAVE A CONFERNECE CHAMPIONSHIP OR NOT HAVE ONE. THAT WOULD MAKE IT A EVEN PLAYING FIELD. OSU OR MICHIGAN OR USC WILL ALWAYS BE THERE IF IT STAYS THIS WAY, TOTAL UNFAIR ADVANTAGE. BY THE WAY THERE IS SOME LUCK TO BEING NATIONAL CHAMPIONS. LOOK AT THE UNDEAFETED AUBURN TEAM A FEW YEARS AGO. WELL THERE HAPPENED TO BE 3 UNDEFEATED TEAMS AND AUBURN WAS OOD MAN OUT. RIDICULOUS SINCE THEY WON THE SEC. FLORIDA WINS NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP AND LSU AFTER THEY GO TO THE GAME WITH ATLEAST ONE LOSS. SO YES, A LITTLE LUCK IS NEEDED.

Wanna talk about winning the division??? Since Mark Richt has been at Georgia, we have won the East in 2002 (SEC Champs), 2003, 2005 (SEC Champ), and tied for the east in 2007. During that time Florida has won the East ONCE! So don't bring up about winning the division. Now I know you'll bring up prior to 2000... but just remember who was coaching Georgia at that time.

Nope, I will not bring up before 2000. Cause who cares? Division titles mean NOTHING. Conference Championships are good for bragging rights with your friends, but National Championships are all that matters. West Virginia can win the Big East every year and no one cares if they dont win the National Championship. Ohio State could win their 4th consecutive Big 10 this year and NO ONE cares cause conf championships dont mean anything. USC is in line for their 6th straight conference championship but if they dont win the National Title it is all for NOT.
UGA just doesnt step up to the big stage. Atleast not since 1980.
