They say Paul will move up from where he is, and that they underrated DJ.
Bertrand played on a bum ankle for most of the eval period though.
Griffey just shows that a lot of these services place WAY too much stock in AAU play. He is still #48 in the ESPN top 100 - go figure.
Just to show you how fickle these ratings are DaShonte Riley, the high 5 STAR big man from Michigan, is now a low 3 STAR. So what happened? Were they just that wrong? Did he play that badly? Did he hack somebody off? Who knows? But he still has offers from Georgetown, Michigan State and other big timers. They didn't jerk their offers because he lost "stars".
I agree Madcrazee...ratings seem to be more for the "look who we got" crowd, rather than a GOOD and SOLID talent and POTENTIAL evaluation (which don't really get just looking at AAU ball). I still like looking at the offers a kid is getting, or who is trying to get in on his recruitment (before and after a verbal).
Just like now - - (2011 PG) Donivine Stewart was on our radar VERY early but wasn't ranked at all. Now the kid is getting serious looks from big-timers like UNC (but on Rivals he's got no stars and on Scouts he's got one).
Stars are fun to talk about, but in the long run they don't mean much once a kid hits a college campus.
But anyway it's nice to see our guys ranked highly and probably going up from there.
