I must admit, I was skeptical of the black jerseys before the Auburn game last year, but the energy and excitement that they produced cannot be ignored. I wasn't at the game, but I almost felt like I was just by seeing everyone get so geeked up! I do, however, think these types of changes should be used very sparingly in order for it to retain it's novelty. No more than once per year, IMO.
As far as changing the Silver Britches...I do not think it would look good. The pants are a part of UGA history that I think should remain untouched. The uniform gafs that Donnan tried to pull never looked right. Even the black stripes on the helmet messed it up. An Herschel, bless his heart, in red pants just didn't look right, just ask Bill Bates!
Keep the Silver Britches and break out the black jerseys for UT and South Beach!!
