I do not think the offensive line is as much of an issue as the ability for VY to pick up the new system and how well he will work with a new coordinator. The biggest need for the team is DB's.... The team just does not have the quality that I would like to see... If any of the starters get hurt, the secondary is pretty much in trouble. I do not care how good the defensive front seven is, if cornerbacks cannot cover a receiver for 5 seconds. (usually the time it will take to put pressure on the quarterback.)
I will have to wait and see on the defensive side... but the offensive side is the biggest concern, not from a lineman need but from how well VY picks up the new offense.... I do not know if he will pick it up as well as he could have... He did have problems picking up on Norm Chows offensive calls and they were as close to college level as you could get... Should have been an easy pickup for VY but just did not quite get a grasp of it...
Before everyone gets upset, it is just my opinion... I am not saying that VY is dumb. I am saying that sometimes people cannot take what they see in a book (play book) and immediately transfer it to the field. Also, changing offensive coordinators and having to learn new terminology and plays is not an easy thing to do.. Especially in the pro game. And let's face it, Dinger is not as forgiving as Chow was so there may be some personality issues to deal with as well...
