On the current version of the MLB All Star ballot, Nomar is LA's rep at third base, and Matt Kemp is left off the outfielders.  So the poll is simple, with only one write in box, who are you going to write in, Matt Kemp or Blake Dewitt?

This is no contest. Blake Dewitt has exceeded all expectations, and I am thrilled with his development but he is not producing at the same level as Matt Kemp, who has already won an NL Player of the Week award.

Now I am not a glory wh0re.....however if you remember correctly I said during Spring Training that Kemp would be an All Star if he was given a full time job and in now way should he ever be traded.

Kemp is doing exactly what he was projected to do. And the best part is, he is still young and has yet to even peak. I can see him being a Dodger forever. He is that good.

I haven't seen the ballot yet, but does it say Andruw Jones or The Andruw Jones Imposter?

Ok, let me just say that the fact that Matt Kemp isn't on the ballot is the greatest travesty in baseball since the Black Sox scandol. He is having the best allround season in the majors right now when you consider all the categories as a whole, sure other guys hit a higer average, other guys hit more homers and drive in more runs, some guys steal more bases, but no one has put all those things together nearly as well as Kemp, he should be starting in RF at Yankee Stadium in July.

Forget All-Star though, when is Matt gonan get some MVP love??

Its not a travesty hes not on the ballot, I assume MLB takes the opening day projected rosters and puts them on the ballot. For example, Jacque Jones is on the ballet and hes not even on the Tigers anymore. Matt Kemp was not the projected in the starting outfield, thats what hes not on the ballot.

Matt Kemp for MVP?? two things wrong with that.

1.) Furcal trumps Kemp for that award right now
2.) ITS MAY 9th!! its bad enough we are talking about all stars 6 weeks into the season, lets not start with MVP and CY Young awards!

I'm just saying he belongs with the Utleys and the Furcals but no one is talking about him.

Oh and by the way Matt Kemp started on opening day and Juan Pierre didn't soooooo under that theory wouldn't Matt Kemp be on the ballot and Pierre wouldn't?

I would vote for DeWitt.  He has been more important to the team so far this season.  We have four outfielders that would be starting on any other club.  We had nothing for third base.  DeWitt stepped up and filled a HUGE whole for the Dodgers.  I know Kemp is an awesome outfielder but, we could still fill the outfield if he was not on the team.  That cannot be said about Dewitt.  We tried everything to fill that whoel and he is the only player that has been able to handle it.  Lets not forget that this has been a big whole for us the last few years.
