If that's the case then Joe should lose his job. If a pitcher is fine and is pitching lights out, he should NEVER be removed if he still has gas unless he's a real rookie.Absolutely not.  Joe did the right thing there pulling him.  We all know Moose is suspect to the long ball and if he was to give something up there in the 7th to lose the game his confidence would be way down.  Better to pull him out when a runner got on and keep him out of that situation late in the game.  Torre used to do the same thing with starters.  How many times do you remember him pulling Andy in the 7th or 8th after letting a runner get on despite the fact he was dominating?

True, and that's why Torre was famous for killing his bullpen. I can't agree with that philosophy.
