The National League Central looks pretty darn good right now. 4 teams including the Crew over .500.

This was a really nice win for the Brewers to put us over .500 again at 20-19. We have won 4 of our last 5, and it feels great right now. Also, Gagne has got to be thrilled. The Cubs have a very easy schedule coming up, so hopefully they dont run away with this for now and put a lot of distance between us and them. The Cards are the Cards, and are going to win their games. They will be a pain in our neck all season. As for Houston, they are playing great right now. But they have a brutal schedule coming up as well. We are actually in pretty good position to sneak up and grab first place possibly. That would be great! It's nice to see the bats going again. Also, just an FYI, Chicago and St. Louis have a tough schedule in the last month of the season, in September. You never know what could happen. Good win tonight for Milwaukee. Hopefully this continues.

The Cubs continue to take advantage of a very light, very home game dominated early schedule and have gotten off to the start that any decent team would be off to given their schedule.  June will be a telling month for the Cubs as they play 17 of their 27 games on the road and from June 2nd to July 6th, the Cubs play 23 road games and just 10 home games.

The Brewers just have to continue to beat the teams they should beat and stay at or around .500 on the road and they should be there to make a push come September; which lucky for us, the Brewers start that month with a 10 game home stand and end the month with a 6 game home stand.

It is real early to tell, but it will definatley come down to pitching. The cards starters have been better that expected can they keep it up? Can Isringhusen close any more? The Cubs can Wood close?(I hope not) Lilly has been off to a rough start how will he finish?Houston has Oswalt & a shakey bullpen the team is playing good can they keep it up?The Brewers have a lot of questions with 3 of there 5 starters Bush, Vill, Parra. Can they go more than 5 innings consistently? Can Gagne or someone else be a solid closer?Hopefully the Brewers can win the division, but I think it will be a few months before there is a big seperation.
