I agree with you. I think we play better when we are picked near the bottom. Everyone seems to look past us and thats when we will surprise them. We do have a different scheme but it should work better for us. I don't think you will see 9 men in the box on defense. It all depends on our quarterback and how well he throws the ball.
Arkansas has always seemed to playt better as the underdog. As for Casey Dick, I have never seen anything out of C. Dick that was above what an average QB should be doing, but I can't blame him as much, because as we can all see, Nutt didn't care about a QB who could confidently do their job. I think we will see a little different C. Dick this year, but I don't expect miraculous by any means. I hope I'm wrong though... Go Hogs!!!
Hello ladies and gents. Long time from post to post but I'll be leaving my word once again. The thing I'm not reading on this post is about the in coming freshman class. We've got a lot of talent showing up. I know somebody mentioned DeAnthony Curtis but Joe Adams is also one that's going to make an impact. Not to mention that Petrino has told reporters that he expects atleast 8 freshman to start or play. Now, I have to agree with what someone else said about the receivers not catching the ball. I've seen plenty of games where the ball was there but the receiver just dropped it, Has anyone heard anything about Crosby Tuck or Ben Cleveland are they playing this year or not? The D is what worries me. The Dbacks and linebackers are both more or less unproven, but our d always seems to come together fairly well. I see atleast a 7-5 to a 9-3 depending on how the defense fairs this year.
Tuck and Cleveland are both expected to be 100% or as close as they can be to 100% by the beginning of fall camp.
I am worried, however, that Ben coming in as 3rd team TE may make him want out of his scholarship. His injury could not have happened at a worse time as far as he is concerned. Hopefully Petrino will see what kind of receiver he is and see that he can get open down field more than the other two TE's.
Tuck has already shown that he can catch the ball and I see him being able to come in and be a possession receiver. He runs good routes and may have the best hands on the team. Either way it goes both of these guys can and will have an impact this year.
