well we are almost 40 games into the season, we have several guys who we would expect to be on the HR leaderboard, and others we may not have anticipated... when all is said and done; who is gonna be our champ???

BONUS: How many Jacks will the leader hit???

*all current totals are as of 5/12/2008

I took the names directly from the leaderboard, so don't attack me if your favorite player has 8 or 9 and isn't on here

I myself went with Berkman, with Utley being a close 2nd.  My reasoning, is that both play in plus hitters parks, but Berkman gets the edge due to being a switch hitter.

Bah!  I wanted to vote for "The Nateural" McLouth.

I coined that nickname.  Anybody think it will stick?

Utley will hit 50 HRs and lead in at least 2 other categories.

When it's all said and done, It'll be the usual suspects.

Ryan Howard or Prince Fielder in the NL

David Ortiz or Carlos Pena in the AL...Manny has a shot too.

Pena really came out of the gates swinging... then the team started winning and he cooled off... what happened?
