Was watching Loudmouths yesterday and they actually brought up the idea of trading Carlos Delgado for Richie Sexson. Looking for other opinions on the matter. Would you trade Carlos Delgado for Richie Sexson? Feel free to post a reply as to why you chose what you did.

Well, I guess the change in scenery might do them well.

Steve Philips would make that trade but only if Sexton agree to a 3yr. exstention at 15 mill. a year

Carlos Delgado and Richie Sexson should go home. Their batting has been atrocious, and I can't imagine a team that could be fooled enough to receive one of them just to get rid of the other.

Being a Mariners fan..I dont follow the Mets...but im pretty sure Delgado has been struggling for a while now....I like the trade...anything has to be better then Sexson at 1B...and Safeco can be nice to a lefty hitter.....too bad it wont happen with either GM...

That trade would maybe favor the Mariners.  The Mets could go out before the trade deadline and find someone better than Sexson if Delgado doesn't get back on track by then.  I'm beginning to think that Delgado's just about through.

You look pretty foolish ROTFLYAO when it was a scenerio brought up by two dolts on a talk show. This ISNT what the Mets have come to and its not like the Mets are the only team in baseball totiing a struggle overpaid ballplayer. Not every team can be the Marlins and have an entire roster full of kids paid with the prizes from your crackerjack box that happens to pan out.

Dont know why Marlin fans would be giddy anyway. Just means that after signing Hanley Ramirez (which was an extremely wise move) there isn't going to be a whole lot of cash left over when guys that are over producing come due for a paycheck.

there isn't going to be a whole lot of cash left over when guys that are over producing come due for a paycheck. If you guys in NY (including your media) are just as accurate with a statement like this as you guys were about the Marlins not competing and Hanley just playing his time out until he ends up in Boston or NY, I think that this statement is a good thing because it means that the Marlins are going to have enough money to sign a few more cornerstone players.
