I am pleased as punch. I am a season ticket holder and I thought the draft was awesome and addressed their needs.

On the injury front, Jeanty was out starting line backer last year. He missed six games due to injury. Tthurman was also a starting line backer and he missed 16 games due to suspension. My point simply is the Bengals were in the top three teams as far as injuries/suspensions in 2007. If nor repeat and they stay healthy like the Browns did last year (only 13 games missed by starters in 2007), then the landscape changes. I went to Cleveland last year and watched the Bengals have 9 players injured, most in first half of the game. That was week number two, so not only did they have all those injuries, they had them early. They still almost beat the Browns that day and came back and spanked them at home in week 16.

Browns are still the team with the most to lose because expectations are so high and with the difficulty of schedules for this division it will be difficult but not impossible to achieve those expectations but they will have to beat the Steelers and win 3 of 4 against the Ravens and Bengals to take the Division. 9-7

Steelers could stay consistantly competitive again this year with adding depth to the offense, losing Willie really hurt them bad last year and now imo they have a good back up. 9-7

The Bengals will not compete for this division crown until they can resolve their own internal issues. Not sure how much longer it will be before we start hearing whispers of a coaching change. 6-10

I agree that 9-7 could win this division even possibly in a tie breaker situation so rival AFC north games will be crucial in the end.

Ravens...They can't even stop fighting each other...no threat. 3-13

Kittman08,

Care to make a bet about your prediction of the Ravens going 3-13?  I guarantee they win more than 3 games.  Maybe an avatar bet for a couple of weeks?

There's too many questions about this Div to call it at this point, especially with the NFC East and AFC South on the sked.  Unless some teams drastically improve, I don't see a Wild Card coming out of this Div.

Pitt looks like the team to beat, but they are the ones who have to play the Pats and Chargers this season.  They have the hardest sked in football and not having a few breaks in the sked can wear on a team.  Compensating for the loss of Faneca is going to be key as he was the heart of the OL that was knocked for not protecting the QB enough.

Is Cleveland for real or did they just benefit from an easy sked last year?  Sure, they got a couple of DTs, but they lost a good CB and didn't have the draft picks to really rebuild their D.  Instead they gave Stallworth a huge contract when he usually wound up with 19yds for a team that set an NFL record.  They'll have a lot to prove after missing the POs with a cupcake sked last year.

Bengals have a lot of question marks.  Their problems are so obvious, it's a waste of time to type them.  I thought signing Antwan Odom was the best FA aquisition in the Div.  Will the rest of the DL compliment him enough for him to continue to be a successful pass rusher?

Ravens are the last team in the div to be a dominant NFL team.  If Boller wins the starting job, he'll have to remain consistent.  It will be intersting to see what Cameron does with the O.  Pryce, the CBs,  and Heap will have to stay healthy as they lack depth at those positions.  Ogden has not retired yet.  A healthy season and being the lucky team that draws Miami and Oakland could pay off.

i think the Browns have done just enough to overtake the Steelers this year ,barring injury or a QB controversy which very will might happen .

the Bengals have a circus going on ,defections and suspensions do not add up to a winning season

the Ravens have a aging defense which has carried this team for the past few seasons .i still do not see an upgrade to there offense ...drafting a QB might work well for them down the road but not this year .

browns-10-6

steelers-9-7

Bengals-7-9

ravens-6-10

luvinit i agree to disagree on the spanking ...you did not beat us as much as Anderson giving you the game at the end of the first half in a very ugly game

My point was the Bengals won easily at home and had a shot on last possession to win in Cleveland. The Browns did add some much needed help on the defensive side of the ball. I have never said the Bengals will even compete for the AFC North in 2008. But, the predictions of either the Ravens or the Bengals having a top three pick in 2009 is off the mark big time.

In the NFL, you just never know.

luvinit you still have a top 5 QB ,and a solid o-line and running game to go with it .that alone equates to a few wins .with all of the turmoil surrounding the Bengals ,to much to list that can either pull a team apart or bond it even more .this is one Browns fan who has not ruled them out yet

"Ravens...They can't even stop fighting each other...no threat. 3-13"

???  Would you care to specify on this?  Team chemistry was never a problem with them last year.

I'm one of the more pessimistic Ravens fans you'll come across, but even I think 3-13 is a pretty big stretch.  I do see them struggling for one more year though before they get back on their feet.  6-10
