When I grow up I wanna be just like Jazz!

How about Juan Gonzalez on this list?  He wore out his MVP seasons for a few more contracts...

& can we add Jason Schmidt? Kevin Brown? Darren Dreifort? Any SP the Dodgers have signed to mega deals well past their usefullness?

Careful what you ask for Will I Am,

You will be a graying, grumpy, smoker, with a bad back, and perhaps a bit too much love for Jack Daniels!

The latest on Tavarez is the Red Sox just designated him for assignment. He will either be traded, let go and picked up by another team or agree to go down to the minors. My bet is he will be let go and someone will pick him up.

Well, apparently I'm the first Reds fan to read this thread because Ken Griffey Jr. is the biggest disappointment in Reds history!  He is an absolute waste of money.  He has merely been a shell of the player he was in Seattle. Now it's to the point that I can't stand to see him in the lineup.  He's not clutch, he doesn't hit for average (.250 now), and hasn't hit 40 homeruns since his first season in Cincy.  2000 was the most games he's played with 145.  He played 144 last year, but the Reds were so terrible, it didn't matter.  What could the Reds and Griffey done had he just not been too lazy to work out during the offseason and not get hurt every spring the last 8 years?!  Remember, at one point, the Reds had one of the best hitting teams in the majors with Dunn, Kearns, Casey, and an assortment of other guys who could hit.

Bottom line....Griffey is a joke now.  Please trade him away, I'll take anything for him...especially a manager!
