Nascarfan, great post and good arguments all around, but I think we'll just have to agree to disagree as a Viking vs. a Packer fan on some points.
Looking back at your O-Line, I agree that you guys are better at pass blocking, but our run blocking is superior so that might be a wash. I really like Tauscher and Clifton as your tackles, but I'll still take Birk, Hutchinson and McKinnie on our left side. I'm just not sure who your guys will be pass blocking for this season. Don't get me wrong, I am not wishing injury on Rodgers, it just seems inevitable. And then you will have to depend on the rookie to carry your season. Who knows, he could be another Ben Roethlesberger, or he could be another Ryan Leaf. It's so hard to tell.
As for the LB's, I just went by what the numbers told me. I read about how the Packers' LB's are so much better than the Vikings', but the numbers don't tell that story. I'm not saying that the Vikings' LB's are top of the league, but they are at least as good as the Packers'. I also don't think that Charles Woodson is "way" better than Antoine Winfield. He is a bit more athletic and makes a couple more big plays, but Winfield is great in coverage (when there is a decent pass rush) and hits like a sledge hammer. I think you will see the Vikings' secondary vastly improved this season with our improved pass rush. And I still hate Al Harris, but that's not really an arguable fact.
My last paragraph in that post was mostly pointed at the original creator of this thread. I was not aiming anything at Packer fans in general.

ok yall need to chill out a nice guy like J Migs comes over trys to be nice and yall tear him up. but i procrastanate
iv herad some rediculous comments lets review. who said the pack have a old Reciving Corp do the names Jennings, Jones, Nelson, and Martin, and on our old side we have Driver thats a 4 to one ratio young wins.
Vikings have a better Safty corp. i will admit Sharper is a beast. but Bigby was a big hitting monster all year, nad Rouse showed that he can be a potintal star.
this talk on how much better the Vikings O line then ours we gave Brett more time then he has ever had. so we did something right.
and last what is this garbage about the vikings having better linebackers. A.J Hawk is youg and already tearing up any one crossing his path. he is one of the fastest ouside Linebackers in the leauge. and never misses a tackle. and Nick Barnett was the biggest Pro Bowl snub having the 5th mosth tackles in the leauge.

I just had to come in here and tell all the Packer fans, "Jarred Allen, Bernard Berrian, Jarred Allen, AP, Jerred Allen." That is all.

Green Bay Packers 07' Linebacker stats:
Nick Barnett: 131 tackles, 3.5 sacks, 2 interceptions
A.J. Hawk: 105 tackles, 1 interception, 1 sack, 1 forced fumble
Brady Poppinga: 50 tackles, 1 interception
Total: 286 tackles, 4.5 sacks, 4 interceptions, 1 forced fumble
Minnesota Vikings 07' Linebacker stats:
E.J. Henderson: 118 tackles, 4.5 sacks, 3 forced fumbles
Chad Greenway: 105 tackles, 2 interceptions, 2 forced fumbles
Ben Leber: 67 tackles, 5 sacks, 2 forced fumbles, 1 interception
Total: 290 tackles, 9.5 sacks, 3 interceptions, 7 forced fumbles
In other words it seems that based upon stats from last year, the Vikings linebacker corp was better by only 4 tackles, 5 sacks, and 6 forced fumbles, the Packers did have one more interception though. You can say all you want that the Packers linebacker corp is better as a whole, but 07' stats would suggest otherwise. At the very least it looks like these two linebacker corp are pretty equal if not leaning towards the Vikings as being better.

The problem is his post is rather ridiculous.. He is complaining about the Vikings fans on the Packers boards, yet look at our board! It would be a challenge for you to find a thread on the Vikings board without Packer fans in it. So I think the general consensus is: "cry me a river".

the Vikings are far more superior than the Packers. the only positions they are better than us is left defensive end and wide receiver and tight end. other than that they are 2nd rate. Brady Poppinga would be a backup in minnesota. is not on ben lebers level. Nick Barnett is the only one that would be a starter. A.J. Hawk is decent at best. i like Chad Greenway more becuse of his playmaking ability. our secondary is better than green bays. our defensive tackles are the best in the league. our line amazing. running baks- they speak for themselves. quarterback. tjack is actually 8-4 as a starter and since Aaron Rodgers has never started, tjack wins that too. special teams are also better in mn. can u say heath farewell, Ryan Longwell, Cullen Loeffler, and Chris Kluwe. the only reason they were good last year was brett favre other wise they would have been horrible.
