As far as I know, you can't trade MLB draft picks...although they should change that rule.

I appreciate all the thoughts, but I really think the answer is to start fresh. Every team tries to do what the Reds are doing now, slowly build up a winner. I think a new approach is needed. Build up a pretty good team, which they have now, then dump it and invest in a better future.

Yes the

The problem with the Reds is the same one I've been screaming about for 3 years- Wayne Krivsky (and previous weak GM's)...He's finally gone, (as is several million dollars in eaten contracts for worthless playres he signed) but several of his stinkers are still here- David Weathers, Corey Patterson, Josh Fogg, Matt Belisle, Kent Mercker, Scott Hatteberg, Javier Valentin, Jerry Hairston, Jr. and Alex Gonzalez are all Krivsky contracts, and all players the Reds simply don't need, and would play better players if they weren't here....I didn't mention Dusty Baker...also a 3 year deal to a manager who's IQ is slightly below that of cabbage.

Baker manages like someone that has never sen a baseball game before. Most of the pieces to the puzzle are already here, but Baker is a blindman. There are 13 free agents on this team, and with the exception of Adam Dunn, none should return if this team is going to get better...what does that tell you ?
