I really think this guy at some point in the next 3-4 years has a legit chance at a triple crown... he hits to all fields... great aberage and great power... great line up in a top 5 hitters park... what do you guys think? Any other canidates?
Holliday has as good a shot as anyone. Better than most, actually. I gotta say, however, that Lance Berkman has a shot THIS YEAR if he keeps up what he's doing now.
People forget he was 1st in RBI's and Average last year, and 4th in home runs.
Nobody has forgotten that. He did win the MVP last year as a result.
Unfortunately for him this year the Rockies offense has been severely struggling and with Troy Tulowitski out for a while his RBI opportunities will be reduced.
In the future is it possible? Of course! He plays in Colorado so he will always have a little edge on the competition for the award
Josh Hamilton is doing pretty well. .303 average, 7 home runs, and 39 runs batted in. He's pretty darn good. I'm looking at Hamilton winning the Crown probably not this year, but in a few years.
Threat? Sure. Derrick Lee anyone? I'd put my money on Lee winning the triple crown and a gold glove. If the Cubs continue to play this well, he may be looking at an MVP and just might sweep the whole awards show.
