Also from what I've read, offensive plays are called through the quarterback's helmet so any hand signals taped are not part of the play being called.  If the communications feed goes down, the QB goes to the sideline and is given a number that coincides with the play on his arm or another player is given the play and it's communicated in the huddle.

Psst Dawnie,

Don't try to confuse them with facts.  It doesn't work because they refuse to even try to understand, or admit what is going on.  They are having way too much fun making up doomsday scenarios.  It gives them somethign to do, while waiting for their loser teams to be important enough to actually be in the news.

Matt Walsh is bringing the tape with him personally because he didn't trust the commissioner to keep that evidence with out destroying it first. He's going to make everyones head spin tomarrow when he shows that to all of them in person.

If Walsh has retained any pertinent information, he stands to lose the indemnity he fought so hard for, per the terms of the agreement.

My reply was simply that if Walsh had held a press conference about the rumors, everyone would jump on him and say he would be just trying to get exposure from this. Instead he stays totally to the side, says nothing, lets the media report what they can with no appearances from him, and then gets blamed again.

Yes he may have stole property, or copied it without permission, or just saved it from being destroyed (the pats practice with those tapes).  But I believe that property was originally taken without permission of the Pats opponents too.   So he was taking, or just copying information that was obtained through wrongful means in the first place.

And yes the play comes in to the QB through the headset.  Then the headset goes down 15 seconds before the snap, so any changes from the coaching staff must come in through signals, or the QB's own decisions after that.  Also, all personnel changes are done with hand signals (ie two tight ends, 4 WR, etc.).  So knowing them ahead of time would give a defense more time to get the right unit out on the field, and recognize their assignments quicker.

Coming from you, I'll take that as a compliment!  I do however understand how frustrating it must be to be a Charger fan lately.  All that talent, and always going home early.  They win a cupcake of a division, even beat the Colts, but every year it seems they just set themselves up for a big old Mud stompin from the Patriots.

37**** - 1 Lots of fun!

Gooooo Patriots!

The three *s are for the wins over your guys last season and the next.  Now granted I might be stretching a little to assume your little girls can actually make the playoffs, BUT, you will have served up better than 1/10th of our wins!  I just want to thank you for being the losers you are!

Go Patriots!

i've been gone for a few days and haven't been able to grasp everything that has happened.

walsh turned in 8 tapes and these tapes have nothing new?  if there's nothing new, then, this whole fiasco has been a waste of time.

no Rams walkthrough?  there goes matt walsh's integrity.  who's going to believe him now?

i'm a pats fan and i will be the first to say i think belichick should have been suspended last year.  not like josh mcdaniels wouldn't have done a good job filling in.  i think he'll be an excellent coach someday.

the facts are actually against matt walsh if there isn't anything new on the tapes.  yes, he's immune from being sued, but if he comes up with nothing, he'll be the laughingstock of the league.

and for the games on the tapes.  i'm sure the tapes had something to do with the outcomes....not!  the afc championship game with the Steelers that year was nothing, but turnovers and touchdown returns.  some Eagles fans are complaining that they did the taping during the super bowl.  is there proof of this?  the only proof is the regular season games and that one afc championship game i believe.

Hahah it's funny how most people think that Walsh is stupid...but it's also interesting that he could've been bought off in the meantime.  I don't think so though...

I believe that he thought he had the tape, he just had to look for it.  He couldn't comment on the fact unless he knew for sure cuz if he said he didn't and it surfaces, especially from him...that's not good...then if he says he has it and can't find it....well...same thing..

Either way...the media had fun with it, I'm just a lil surprised that it broke from a boston writer anyway...i bet he's a Rams fan just tryin to get a lil revenge....

either way....i'm glad everyday that the Giants won the sb....hey I gotta speeding ticket today but guess what...the world is a better place cuz i won't have to be reminded everyday, every nfl season, for the rest of my life that cheaters went undefeated throughout an entire season....

Go Giants...via St. Louis!!
