I fly a flag every day and night (under a steet light) for the Troops!
Mine is a house light, but I do the same.... been up every day since 9/11. :)
We should always support the brave men and women in uniform.
My clutch blew out on one of my cars a couple of weeks ago. The tow truck came to get it. As the guy was hooking up my car I noticed that he had a purple heart license plate on his truck http://www.dmv.ca.gov/pubs/plates/specialrecogplates.htm
So I said to him, "I see the purple heart plate, were you in the service?" He looked a little surpised and said yes. I went over shook his hand and told him "Thank you for your service to our country." The look on his face was priceless. He said, "Thank you very much. I really appreciate that." And we went on to talk about how he got his purple hearts, etc.
It took up a few minutes of my time to thank someone that helped provide the freedoms that I enjoy each and every day. I'd encourage others to do the same as the opportunities arise in the future. :)
Nice thread Solomon!
Cheers!

"They have my 100% support but its time to bring them home BUSH"
Thanks for the support....HOWEVER...
It is NOT time to bring them home. Now while I would LOVE to see my family, I am fully ready to finish my deployment here. If given the chance to go home tomorrow, I would have to say "no", because the job isn't done.
We aren't dealing with normal people. They don't think like us. If we pull out now, the terrorist organizations, insurgents, Taliban, etc will consider it a victory. And with these types of fanatics, a victory for them, will only encourage them. They will think us weak, and will not hesitate to kill us when the chance presents itself. Unfortyunatly, we are in a no-win situation.
Trust me, I would LOVE to have a normal glass of milk, take a ten minute shower, or sleep late ONE DAY. I would LOVE to not have to spit sand out o my damn mouth whenever the wind kicks up. I would LOVE to not have to carry a damn gun. And OH how I would LOVE a beer, but it aint going to happen for at least another four months, and I am glad of that, because if we leave any earlier, things eithe went really worng, or they soon will.
I hate to say it, because it sounds really bad, but the only thing that can win this war is the complete destruction of those who oppose us, and that just won't happen.

Thank you, Thank you, ghost. As a member of an Infantry unit I was deployed to the middle East. Even tho things seemed to go well and fast I wanted to finish the "mission". With all their military spread out every where, It would of been the best time to go in and seize that country and take Hussein. We love all of you out there, Mission first Huu Raa ! Take care .

Ghost,
Thank you for your service.
I concurr with you that we have to get the job done right this time and see it through. I wish you could have those things to, and I appreciate your saxrifice of them for all of us. Maybe the end game won't be a complete destruction of those nuts that oppose us, but rather suppoerting the Iraqis until they are strong enough to deal with the nuts on their own. Maybe that can happen.
Be sure to tell your buds that we at sportsline are thinking of them and wish them well.
