There has been a lot of talk about Marc-Andre Fleury since the playoffs started, especially by the sportscasters and writers, but watching during the regular season and very intently during the Rangers Penguins series i thnk it has more to do with the team around him than his actual ability, much like Brodeur in the 90s, but what do you think?

Is Marc-Andre Fleury the greatest player to stand between the pipes, or just one that got picked by the right team?

There is alot of room in between overated and the greatest goalie ever. There is not a choice there that I would pick. I don't think anyone is saying he is the greatest goalie of all time, but he is playing very well right now. He is definitely benefiting from the Pens defense and how they have controlled the puck on offense, but he is making the stops. I think he has played very well through the playoffs.

Greatest goalie ever? Not by a longshot. There have been plenty of 1 year wonders in the playoffs. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not calling him a 1 year wonder, but we just don't know if he can continue playing this way. If he can keep playing the way he has in the playoffs so far, you might be able to make an argument in 10 years.

I will say this though. While the Penguins defence has played extremely well, the biggest reason the Penguins are up 2-0 on the Flyers is the play of Fleury. He has made some outstanding saves on great chances by the Flyers, he has taken away their best aspect of their game. It was obvious that at times the Canadiens played better during the last series and even the Capitals in the first series. The reason the Flyers won both series was because they took advantage of their chances, something Fleury won't let them do.

He is 21 years old...He was the #1 pick in the draft when he came into the league...he is beginning to play to his potential...period..

I had to vote over-rated only because the Pittsburgh Defense has been stopping shots before they get to the net. He still had to stop 30 shots last night, but the defensive play of the team has been good.

I choose d. very talented young goalie. He is in no way the best goalie in the world, dont know where you got that from, but he is playing unbelievable in the play-offs. The Penguins D has definitely picked up the pace from the regular season and that has helped Fleury, but he has made a ton of huge saves so far in the Play-offs. MAF has stepped his game to a new level ever since he's came back from the high ankle sprain. I would also say that he is not over-rated either. He deserves the credit he is getting right now but only time will tell. He is still very young. Hopefully he keeps this level of play up for a few more weeks!

LET'S GO PENS!

It's a bit early in his career to be talking like this. He isn't great, but he is very good for how young he is and whatnot. I believe he's only going to get better. He's young enough to keep progressing, I doubt he has peaked in skill and whatnot. He did a pretty good freakin' job against the Rangers, I mean, 4-1 and done. He had to be doing something right, or the rangers would've been scoring goals on us left and right with the talent they got. I was just happy to see Jagr and his stupid jersey tuck leave, haha. Penguins are playing good defense, but I think Fleury is still doing a fantastic job in there. Let's see how he finishes the playoffs.
