There wasn't many quotes from Favre in that article but it clearly emphasized how much he loved that same route.
What's missing from Jennings is strength, breaking tackles consistently, and not proven in jump ball situations.Without that he isn't a complete WR.
He's not going to win many jump balls because he's 5'11", but in that first highlight you showed of him, against the Raiders, he jumped and caught a ball over Nnamdi. You don't expect a guy his size to be the the physical tackle breaker or the jump ball guy. You expect them to be the guys who make a move on a route to be wide open for an easy catch in the corner of the end zone or something. He does that as well as just about any small wideout in the league. The big guys usually get a fly ball on a wheel route, the smaller guys usually get quick passes on slants, ins, and out routes. That's why even though Jennings is not the better jump WR than Marshall he still has more TD's. He doesn't break tackles consistently but he does evade them consistently and makes something out of every single catch. The point of being a wide reciever is making every catch relevant and that's what he and Marshall do so well... just in very contrasting ways. But, of course, Marshall still is the more complete WR... I'm just showing as to why a WR like Jennings would have a good argument to be better. He's not, but he can argue.
There are 3 teams in the NFL that I follow the most and it's the Broncos Packers and Patriots........
lol, trust me, I now. Packers with J-Migs, Patriots because you live in Boston, and Broncos because of Champ Bailey or because that was the great team you grew up watching (one of the two).
