After getting drilled by over 20 points, and playing on the road without their floor leader, the Pistons showed some serious grit by overcoming a double-digit deficit and defeating the Magic by 1.  I doubt the Magic will be able to recover from this loss, so the Pistons' main concern should now be Chauncey's health.  That being said, the costly technical foul on Dooley was clearly instrumental in allowing the Pistons to escape.  Rip Hamilton is a prime-time performer, and they have a great shot at beating (presumably so) the Celtics in the next round.  However, with all the great teams remaining, I can't see Detroit winning the NBA championship.

Hey man don't be so sad the Magic will surely put up a fight in game 5. Besides I would be proud that your team this far, not many people thought they would even make the playoffs.
Hey and you still have a chance to pull off a clevlend on detroit.

Who ever comes out of The East should be in good shape to take it all. Both Boston and Detroit had the best records in the league respectively and beat The West teams on the road and at home a high percentage of the time.

The Finals I want to see is SA/Detroit. The best Finals series in the last few years was SA/Detroit which came down to the final moments of a game 7. The Spurs and Pistons have gone on to be the best two teams in the league the last 5-6 years and would provide the best team basket ball and defense.

The teams The Pistons would have the most problems with would be SA and Utah in my opinion. Its all about match-ups and it is difficult for any team to match-up with The Pistons. IF Bostons beats Detroit, they will be in good shape to take it and they won't care who it is they play.

Im sure The Magic will put up a fight, but so what? Cleveland lost the first 2 then won 4 in a row. The Magic are down 3-1 which is a tremendously huge difference. Also, two of three games they have to win are in Detroit. Detroit is a much better more experienced team. Unless they implode as they did against Cleveland last year, there isn't a realistic chance of Orlando doing much about it.

By "all the great teams remaining", West Coast Gators means the Lakers.  Ironically, I agree with Jamieuke that that SA and Utah would both be tougher matchups for the Pistons than the Lakers.  Detroit traditionally knows how to stop one great player (barring last year with LeBron James) going back to the days of Jordan, so they would know how to deal with Kobe.  Utah has beaten Detroit about 4 straight times, and SA is SA, so both of those worry me more, along with the Celtics.

Actually, I meant all four of the remaining Western Conference playoff teams.  The Lakers are more than a one-man show.  Sure, we have the best player in the league, but we also have Pau Gasol and Lamar Odom, who are both top 30 players in the league.  We have possibly the greatest coach of the last 20 years, and some great veterans like Fisher.  If Detroit can successively beat two teams with KG, Ray Allen and Paul Pierce, and Kobe, the gang and P. Jackson, I will glady annoint them the greatest team in the land.

I don't expect for the Magics to win the series, but Howard can at least play like he wants to win. The Pistons play good defence and Superman should have showed up for this game. I still think they got a shot at winning the next two and making it a good series. Pistons in seven. ROLLING.

Detroit has a good shot, we see with the Cavs, the Celtics are human. Chauncey Billups should be around 90-95% start of the series against whoever we play. I think Detroit could beat the Jazz, Spurs, or Lakers, they are a great home team in the postseason, and as long as the bench produces, i think Detroit makes it to 3 of 5 of the last Nba finals

Guitarhero69, don't go counting your chickens before they are hatched. You say that "Detroit has a good shot, as we see with the Cavs". You are implying that Boston will win the series. I
