Don't ever get a Spinal Tap

They thought it was meningitis, but it came out negative.  So that's a good thing.  They said it was just a viral infection, but the fact that they didn't prescribe any medicine makes me feel pretty good about it.  I have a softball game on monday, and I hope I get to play.  Plus not to mention summer semester starts monday. 

The Doctor told me to drink caffeine which is cool though.  I gave up soft drinks over a month ago because my girlfriend told me to...but doctors orders are doctors orders.

Secondly, that sucks for your dad.  Hopefully everything ended up ok. 

when i was a kid, my dad got a spinal tap done (forget the reason).  my dad was/is a VERY big guy, tough, etc.  anyway, the days after his spinal tap he started experiancing gradually worse headaches, prolonged ones.  it turned into severe crippling migranes.  my father couldnt get out of bed.  turnng his head caused him tremendous pain.  after about a week of this, we took him to the ER.

turns out, they used the wrong sized gauge needle doing the tap...and it caused spinal fluid...aka brain fluid...to slowly leetch into his body.  the cat scan showed he had 40% of his brain fluid...his brain was actually resting on his skull, causing the sever headaches.
