Vote/comment on which team got the better deal or is the deal even?

Team A = Pujols, Harang, & Yunel Escobar

Team B = Jered  Weaver, Ryan Howard, Hideki Matsui, & Pedro

It's pretty even.  Team A gets the better deal.  Pujols is better by far at the moment.  The two first basemen in the deal are a trade of stats now versus stats later, as Howard won't be a bust all season and Pujols may not make it through the season.  Weaver for Harang is a wash.  Harang will have more Ks, but Weaver might have better peripherals. Wins should be even.  Escobar and Matsui are even, but Escobar has more eligable positions, so the edge goes there.  Pedro is a non-factor as he will be a marginal fantasy player the rest of his career.

Team A wins by a little because of Escobar's eligibility and Pujols potential to play through the entire season.

Him not speak with spork tongue. The tie-breaker for me is Escobar's multiple position eligibility at 2nd, SS and 3rd, and those thin middle infield positions only get thinner as injuries make the rounds throughout the season. On your roster, or as trade bait in July, he's a good guy to own.

Despite Cincy's crap start, I wouldn't let Harang's W-L record be a concern. He's pitched well, and the team has the offensive potential to bust  out for a bunch of wins in a hurry.

This trade makes little sense, unless it is a keeper league.  Team A would be able to pick up another player, and Team B would have to drop.  The player that A can pick up would undoubtedly be more productive than Pedro.

Pujols = Howard
Harang > Weaver
Escobar < Matsui (only by a little)

So really, Team B loses only because of Pedro, otherwise this trade is very close.
