Oklahoma is lucky they don't have to play Colorado next season.
But I agree that Colorado does have a tough schedule.

I will preface this by saying that I feel that UGA will be one of the 5 best teams in the country next year based on talent, coaching and expectations. Whether that will translate into a SEC and BCS championship, one won't know until January of 2009.
When comparing one teams schedule to another when they are in seperate conferences, you really have to look at one area and only one area. The teams have no control over who is on their in-conference schedule. Good or bad, those teams are there. Since WVU has 5 ooc games and UGA has 4, I will throw out the Marshall game since WVU is mandated to play that game as well. So let's compare the 4 ooc games that each team could control within their schedule.
WVU v/s Villianova and UGA v/s Ga. Southern. push....neither of these games should be played.
WVU v/s East Carolina and UGA v/s Central Michigan. again....push...ECU is a quality mid-major and Central Michigan is a quality mid-major.
WVU v/s Colorado and UGA v/s Georgia Tech. again...push...BCS conference foes for both. Colorado is on its way back and that game is at Boulder on Thursday night. GT will be in transition but it is an in-state rivalry game.
WVU v/s Auburn and UGA v/s Arizona St. again...push...quality BCS game against a team from the top portion of their respective BCS conferences
The out of conference games are extremely comparable.
I think that you can pretty much say the same thing about just about every major program. They play a couple quality OOC games, a medium ooc game and a cupcake ooc game. That is just the way the majority of teams schedule.
Remember that scheduling is an inexact science, who knows what a team will be like in 10 years when you are scheduling the game. When OSU scheduled Washington, UW was good, then they fell off. When ND originally scheduled Rutgers, RU was terrible, now they are much better and ND got out of that deal. The point is that some years your ooc schedule will be tough and some years it won't be. Some schedules that look good on paper aren't as good as you would think because a name team is mediocre at best.

Ricky Jean-Francois, Chad Jones, Harry Coleman, Darry Beckwith are all studs on defense, from what I saw from them last year. And no one has forgotten about that Arkansas game, when the best defensive player on that team was injured for about half the season and still played, but not at 100%. Did you forget that LSU beat Tennessee in Atlanta to win the SEC championship? I'd say they deserved to go to the NC more than WV; at least Miles didn't leave for Michigan after he lost to Ar-kansas.
I will take your word forit..you know them much better than I do...All I can see is a loss of a ton of experience..
But I agree that Colorado does have a tough schedule.
Truly...outside of Notre Dame on certain years...I can't ever remember seeing a schedule like that...
MDAWG10...I have enjoyed the banter!!..I have added you to the favs..

Tennessee had many good players in 2005 and you see how they turned out. I don't see them having as good of a season as last, but they've had a great defense the past few years. They are definitely losing the best players and the SEC West is wide open, so we'll see how it turns out.

Same for you, bro... your avatar alone made me add you. LOL I'm kidding, but I've loved watching WVU play the past few seasons and will be rooting for them next year as long as they aren't paired with UGA in a bowl.

Slaton, stay in the closet dude. Please say it isnt so. There is only one other team more dispicable, more slimy than Pitt and that is UGA. Go ahead and tell them that you were just kidding...
I didnt read all of the 5 pages of posts but it seems to me as if the SOS debate has already started. UGA fans are banking on a 1 loss season and have already begun the campainging...7 months before the big game. Dont worry, Richt wont be far behind...
Psst, Slaton, dont tell them Dawg fans, but I spent 5 years in the heart of Dawg country and every one of the was down right convinced that WVU nor Mizzou had no business in NC game(this was before we both lost our last game). Even though they couldnt win their division, let alone their conference, WVU plays in the Big East and has no right to even be considered. That is what every(EVERY), and I mean every UGA fan feels. Again, dont tell them I told you this!!!!

Not true. Many teams had a "lock" to go to the NC game, but one particular loss kept many teams out of it. USC with Stanford. Kansas with Missouri. Missouri with Oklahoma x2. Oklahoma with Colorado. Georgia with Tennessee (kept them out of the SEC championship). And WV with Pitt.
I wasn't disappointed at all when I figured WV would most likely go to New Orleans, so you pretty much have no idea what you're talking about Jimmie, unless you are trying to get a rise out of Dawg fans.

It was a good game. Even on stats almost identically (total offense, 3rd down conversions). That and the Texas/USC game were shootouts.
