Yes, the St. Louis Cardinals made the right decision letting Jim Edmonds go and not spending any more money on him!!!

Sorry Jabber, but the Cardinals traded him to San Diego and is responsible for about 75% of his contract. Padres don't lose much at all. They can in turn pick up Jacque Jones for free and it would be as if they're paying Jones a couple mill and there would be no major loss.

Yeah, sorry Jabberwook.  Catch up with the times, bro.  Jim Edmonds wasn't in playing in the shadows of the Gateway [to the West] Arch anymore.  He was putting up terrible numbers with the Padres.  You have to read the article my man.

You pay him that kind of money and then release him on the day you are facing a pitcher that he has a .538 BA against(peavy). Should the redsox release Ortiz now? he was under 200 after 70 AB's.

Thats impossible.  Peavy and Edmonds were on the same team, so he wouldn't be batting againest him.
