Percy, you are exactly right, and that is why you have not heard me voice those same excuses. The loss was inexcusable. We were tight, out-coached and out hustled. And, if you have read my posts, you have seen that I keep reminding people that RR never won a bowl game at WV without Pat White and Slaton. I too am concerned about the future of WV football after Pat is gone. We have all seen how life has been at other schools after they lose a star like that.

Whodem, you forget to mention that the NC game was practically a home game for your Tigers. WV, on the other hand, played over 2000 miles from home, and more importantly, home fans. WV is now 2-0 in BCS games. I know I am concerned about WV post-Pat White, so I am curious to see how your Tigers do with a new QB this year.

BTW, slaton...you remember before the OU/WVU game I said I think OU wins but WVU could easily win too because OU had some key defensive injuries?? You called it stradling the fence then but I think as this comes to light, you can see that I was pretty much spot on.
Vaguely...It must of been during happy hour..and you know how my memory gets at that time of day...

Jarrett Brown, Bradley Starks, Tajh Boyd, Coley White...yes folks the younger brother and Charlie Russell...We are as deep at that postion as any other on the roster..

WV blows OU is always overrated and stinks in bowls. WV is a pathetic excuse for a football team, if they were so good why didn't ANY top coaches show interest. They had to rob an old folks home to find a coach. 3 years from now when the old geezer has had 2 losing seasons and one winner to get you furry lubers amped up about bush league I mean Big East pansy ball what are you going to do?

I would add that matchups is a keey component in any game and WVU was a favorable matchup for Pitt. The stake in the heart there in my opinion was the fact that WVU played not to lose and conservative, predictable play calling was the final death blowI hate playing Monday Morning QB..but ..did you know there was not even one reverse called in that game against an over pursing PITT defense...let alone trying to take advantage of a down field pass...pretty incredible..

WV though should have beaten Pitt with its scout team, it just goes to show how overrated WV was. they didn't belong in a BCS bowl, no Big East team should be in a BCS bowl EVER. The NC game should have been Mizzou and LSU which probably would have been a very good game. WV should have played Texas A & M in the weed whacker bowl on Dec 17.
Off to work, Slaton have a good day, beer at 430 today, I am buying and steaks on the grill I am going home today for the weekend. The wife is going to be walking all funny in the morning!

Buying into the theory...absolutely not....I just think that if I were a Michigan fan you have to be concerned that RR's ego about what he calls 'Execution" that allof theplayes he calls should work all of the time without having tomake game time adjustments.. he never seems to consider the fact that the player standing across the line from the other just may be better and you need to find the week link or see what is open and take what the Defense gives you sometimes...a big time flaw in his coaching abilities..
