First of all I think that the Sporting News has OU way too high...It's not that I don't want to be number one, but having that target wire to wire is tough...
Sports Illustrated Having Mizzouri in front of OU is retarded!...everyone wants to talk about OU's bowl troubles....How about Mizzou's OU troubles.
SI has Cincinnati #23...Very worthy preseason opponent!
Texas is underrated in SI and Rivals!
....more later!

Florida is underrated in Rivals and Sporting News...
KU is overrated in Rivals and SI...
Tech is way underrated in the Sporting News...
I would say that Georgia and USC should be preseason #1 & #2 in no particular order...OU, LSU, OSU, Florida, and Texas, shouldround out the next 5 in no particular order and Missouri, Auburn, Texas Tech and West Virgina should be somewhere in #7-#11.

A few thoughts......
The Sporting News has my vote, except Georgia and OU should be switched. Also switch Florida with Ohio St. ...and drop Pittsburgh out and put in Tennessee.

Yet another major milestone toward getting the season started. I swear I live 8 months a year waiting for the kick off classic and the rest of the time waiting for the next saturday.
"OU way to high" I don't think so. To high probably but "way" causes me to disagree. I would put OU in the 2 to 4 range. UGA looked great against Hawaii. That doesn't say much but they did take care of business so the deserve the spot. USC lost some great players, including their starting QB. The rest of the top 5 or 6 can make an equal claim to the 2 spot but I think OU has as good a case as any.
You're dead on about Mizzou. Retarded is the only word to discribe OU being ranked lower. They have dominated Mizzou for a looooooong time and have a ton of talent back.
I'd put Texas at about 8 - 10. Returning QB who didn't play "great" last year but should be better this year. He has to have someone to throw to and hand the ball off to as well.
KU had a great season last year and has earned a good ranking. 11 seams pretty fair to me.

I think the Sooners look better on paper heading into the season but I like the idea of starting around 5.

I just don't like OU infront of Georgia or USC right now....I can live with 3,4,5.

I'd rather have OU not ranked at all, it seems we always play better with the underdog mentality....for now I say we're in the top 5, doesn't matter where...

Georgia will lose at least 2 games. But considering the SEC bias, they will likely still make the BCS Championship Game!

Hell I look at every one of them and think it could happen. The SEC is just so tough, I gotta think this year they will all have 2 losses and no one in the BCS title game.
The big 10(11) just seems to be getting weaker, please don't let OSU in the game again. With that being said, if they beat USC they will most likely be there. The rest of that conference is just down for now. OSU has a great coach and plenty of talent.
SC has alot to replace, but they have a ton of talent and in some areas I think those replacements will be an upgrade. That just sounds insane, but it is true. This conference is like the big 10, 1 great team and a bunch of wanna be's.
I think I agree with the sporting news more than the others, but you gotta have the dawgs on top, OU should be 3,4, or 5. Just win em all and let the chips fall where they may.
Can we please get a playoff, tell the big 10 and pac 10 to wake up and stop just trying to screw the rest of the nation.
BOOMER SOONER!

I love how SI doesnt have a BE team ranked until 17. I swear mandel hates the BE or at least thinks very little of the conference.

The SI link is from January. Their poll will be different. I don't see anybody putting them outside of the top 4. I'd rather them feel disrespected like they did for the Big 12 title game. They don't seem to have that lapse of intensity that they've shown recently. From all that I saw of practice & the spring game highlights, they look fired up. Hopefully it translates to the season. Bad thing is, when they hang 91 on Chattanooga, it won't prove anything the same way N. Texas proved nothing last year. Cincy will be a good barometer. Talent wise, they can beat anybody. Just have to show up & play that way.
