Do me a favor though....why don't you count up the coaching changes in the college game the past 10 years and compare that to the coaching changes in the NFL the past 10 years. So now that we recruit well, all the Auburn people have to make up an excuse now. And it cant be because we have a coach lightyears better than Shula now. No, no it has to be something that Auburn does. Oh please give me a break...Yes, Auburn did out recruit Alabama in a few of the recent years when Shula was around. Why don't you go and look at the years before that? This is not rocket science Ng. Alabama has always out recruited Auburn in the state. This is not something we make up. Auburn has always relied more on Georgia and Florida to compete. Any Auburn fan that tells you we don't try to recruit in Alabama is off their rocker....The truth is we do try what we can, and places that have been good for us in the past, but Auburn, especially Tuberville, recognized that disadvantage a long time ago and most of our best players we have had under him have been from out of state. You see...if you think really hard now...you will see my point. You are basing all your hate...all your points...all your history...all your angles on when Alabama was dominant 30 -40 years ago. I base mine on this thing we call the last generation....that started before you were conceived. In 20 years...some kid will try and tell you something and you will tell him he has a lot more to see in CFB to understand. This game goes in waves...good times, bad times, ups and downs....and people like you try and take that way from others. Just let Auburn have their moment instead of implying that we are only good because you suck. It's arrogant and shows your lack of knowledge and the history of the SEC. I have never seen a publication that says you guys have 12 national titles...you have 6 or 7 AP or UPI. The rest of them were awarded after the season by random polls that at the time meant nothing, and still don't mean anything. Like 1941 for example...what a joke. Alabama finished 3rd in the SEC...finished ranked 20th in the AP...and still claimed a national title. If Auburn claimed the way Alabama does we would have 8. Don't get me wrong...your 6 or 7 AP's (can't remember) is great...but you don't have 12. The polls that awarded some of the those championships are just as ridiculous as Golf Digest awarding Auburn one. The difference is we don't claim the Golf Digest one. And as far as the Bear thing that is also just common sense...Auburn fans are not the only ones to think this. People think this nationally. Alabama fans do live in the past more than other programs...it's hard not to with the winning tradition...so you are better off just admitting it. Right. I get it now. You talk us up when you want us to seem worth a damn, but the second you feel like we are getting too much credit, you talk us back down. I see, its like a John Kerry flip flop convention. Actually, Im not so sure you understand that term, seeing as you had difficulty with it earlier. Why switch back and forth between points if you truly believe only one side of the argument? There, you might be able to understand that. Not me...and I think you know that. The only time I prop up Bama is when they are playing pretty good football and I want our strength of schedule to look better....but I think after reading my post the past couple of years or whatever...you know I don't think Alabama is good at all recently. So to answer your comment...the only props I give to Bama is admitting that it is always a tough game to win...and the Iron Bowl in general is a great tradition....but as stated above...I haven't been on the losing end of that in a long time...so no...I don't try to belittle the program....they just show everyone they suck every Saturday and do that job for me.
