Look at these numbers and see that Cutler looks like he is progressing well. I just cant wait to see him at 100% and healthy!!

Even with Broncos QB Jay Cutler suffering from diabetic systems late last season, his NFL career compares favorably to these other greats through their respective 21st games:

Quarterback.....Cmp...ATT....PCT...Yds...TD...INT...RTG

Jay Cutler............378...604....62.6...4498...29....19....88.2

Tom Brady...........411...632....65.0...4415...31....18....89.9

Peyton Manning...432...751....57.5...5134...37....35....75.5

Brett Favre...........374...603....62.0...3926...20....18....79.5

Those other three guys have been winners under pressure in big games. I think Cutler can grow into that, but it's hard to say that he's in their class yet. He's still got to grow like those guys did. But he has the tools and seeming smarts to do it.

AZCAT,

I agree. But Cutler in his short career has shown a lot of moxy and poise in pressure siuations.

The way he led the team back in Buffalo, against Green Bay and Pittsburgh showed the poise of a QB older than his years. He gets better under pressure which is an unbelievable trait to have. Numbers aside, that is another reason why , early on in his career he comp[ares favorably with Favre, Bardy, Manning, Elway etc.

We have the right to be excited, but still a couple of seasons to go before he can be considered an elite QB. I think this is the year he can take that quantum leap to being in the Top 4 QB's in the league.

There were a lot of times where he scored a game tying/ lead changing score at the end, only to see that our D couldn't hold their own for more than 20 seconds afterwards.

ex. Seattle game last year. First game as starter, made great pass to knot it up to B-Marsh, only to see our D give up a field goal 20 sec later.

Oakland. Again, last minute drive, though admitedly we shouldn't have had to make one, wiped out by one of then infamous Shanny TO field goals, this one backfiring on us.

Green Bay. GREAT last minute drive, forcing OT, in which Dre Bly is beat on a bomb to end the game.

Chicago- after a plethera of Bronco mishaps, Cutler pulls it together for a nice drive, but is then overshadowned by the sideline catch in the endzone. Chicago wins in OT.

damn...that's the games he DIDN'T win...so all in all, in about 1/3 of the games he's played in, he's had to lead us on last minute drives. The only time he didn't come through was in that Jaguars game, where Graham dropped a PERFECT pass on 4th and forever, that would've put is in great position to win the game.

Cutty's the man, he did that last year while feeling the ill effects of Diabetes, which he didn't know he had.

Now that he can manage it (Hopefully), It would not suprise me at all if after his career he's compared to the above montioned QB's.

San Diego fan likes to besmerch him, and talk about how great Rivers is.   DEFEND Cutler with these facts!!  Don't let their heads get anymore inflated.

Is Peyton Mannings completion percentage really that bad...? Wow... Well anyways I love to see how well he compares but there's one problem, they all rack up the W's and not the L's. I must admit that he has had some heroic drives but he doesn't control the clock well at the end of the game. He thinks "score as fast as possible" while the other QB's think "score and leave as little time left possible". That and the fact that all of these guys have to precision accuracy in the redzone whether its a Brett Favre zip, a Peyton Manning flip of the wrist, or a Tom Brady lob. But if he gets those together, then he's more than ready to be a SB QB. To even be this close is a heck of a feat.

Beaver u da man! coudn't agree more. What has Rivers done anyway? The only reason he made it to the probowl that one year was because he could just flip it to Tomlinson and watch him go 80 yards for a TD. But I think Chargers fans couldn't possibly be more full of themselves.

Beaver, I say laugh in the face of any Packers fan that says that Rodgers is going to be good( and if any Vikings fan says Jackson is going to be good try not to laugh to death).

"score as fast as possible" while the other QB's think "score and leave as little time left possible".

Life doesn't reflect "Madden".  While a good rule of thumb in madden, it doesn't necessarily translate to real life football.  If you can score, do it.

To your point though, what about when he left 10 seconds for his FG unit against the Bills?  Similar situation vs the Titans
