Has to be the biggest joke i have ever heard. In the last two games Lebron is shotting 8-42. Yeah 8 of 42. That's about 19% shooting. Not to mention the fact that half of his field goal attempts are layups. Just to let all of you Kobe haters now he will never ever in his life shoot less than 20% percent from the field in two consecutive games. Especially not in teh playoffs. Just like what Marc Jackson said to stop Lebron you got to make him start shooting jumpers, but he said there is no stopping Kobe. Don't get me wrong, LeBron James is a hell of a basketball player and could possibly be one of the top three all time, but right now at this moment he is not better than Kobe Bryant. Kobe Bryant is the best player in the NBA and will be at least for the next 3 years so people stop hating on Kobe Bryant because we all know that if he shot 8-42 everybody would be calling him overrated and they would be talking trash about him for months.
GO Lakers!

I hate the Lakers as much as I hate the Yankees, but I agree with you, Kobe Bryant is straight nasty, Lebron is choking big time, and it doesn't help he has minimal support.

Kobe Shmobie.
Who again averaged 30+ points per game this season? Who?
It's two games in, idiot. We started 0-2 last year against Detroit to, and who advanced to the Finals?
At least LeBron doesn't cheat on his wife than buy a $4 million dollar ring to keep her around. Yeah, I went there. So f**king what. Truth hurts.

Him cheating on his wife had no relavence to this arguement. Anyways Lebron seems to have this choke mode he goes into during the playoffs. I hope he gets out of it because he is a great player, but Kobe Bryant is better at the moments.

O ya cleverocks i forgot that Kobe has never averaged over 30 points or won a championship. what was i thinking your right Lebron averaged over 30 points so he must be better than Kobe right. o nvm kobe has averaged over 30 points numerous times in his career and he has won an NBA ring 3 times and maybe he can win his 4th this year and by the way who cares if he cheated on his wife wut NBA player hasnt cheated on their wife.

Kobe is certainly a more skilled player right now, no question, I htink Lebron has more raw talent if that makes sense... give lebron 2-3 more years to develop his J and in between game and he will be a freak... but yes right now Kobe is the more skilled, polished player

Easy man, Kobe backers are so sensative. Look, obviously Kobe is a better scorer, that's what he does. Lebron is pressing this series, but no one on his team has the ability to score. His comfort zone is not jacking up shots all night. Not sure that choker is appropriate here. I would like to think he has earned the right to have 2 bad games on the road to a really good team.

And don't get me started on how Kobe went from "This team sucks, I wanna be traded" to "I love my teammates, I'll invite them all up to share in my MVP".
What an ass.

Does it really matter who is better? At the end of the day it's all about who wins the title. Just ask Sir Charles. The way the Lakers and Celts are playing it looks like we could see a very fun NBA Finals. Feelings aside the C's played their best playoff game thus far this season and still only shot 40%. I'm really hoping for a Lakers and C's final as both teams would have major matchup problems. The C's have nobody to guard Kobe and Garnett would tear through GAsol.

Kobe has so much more talent than Lebron. Lebron has so much more desire than Kobe. Lebron is likable. Kobe is not.

There is no question that Kobe is the better player right now. I'm not saying Lebron won't be in a couple of years.
Tough to compare though. Lebron is literally on an island in Cleveland. Z is ok, but the rest of the Cavs are just flat out terrible. When you mention Delonte and Wally when you are talking about key players on your team, you know you have problems. We had to put up with them in Boston and there's a reason they aren't there now.
I'd like to see what Lebron can do with a couple of more years of experience and a supporting cast like Kobe has in LA.

Im sorry but that post that says lebron jokes during playoffs is the stupidist post i might have ever read on this site. i am not trying to be mean, but its the truth. People have such a short memory. 2007. Eastern Conference Finals. Detroit vs. Pistons. Game 6. Ring any bells? i remeber Lebron scoring every point in the fourth quarter and overtime for the cavs. And also single handedly outscoring the pistons in overtime and fourth quarter. if that is choking then i dont know what isnt choking.
He had two bad games against a good defensive team, at Celtics court. He has two days to rest and once he gets back in cleveland he will relax and do what he does best. Drive to the hoop and score. that will then open up the other cleveland shooters. and once they hit some shots it will open up lebrons drive even more, and also open up his jump shot. Which by this time he will be in a rhythm and he will knock down some j's. This series is far from over. last year they were down 0-2 also and they came back.
In response to the orginal post, Kobe right now is a better pure scorer, no doubt about that. But lebron tries to involve his teamates more. Right now i give the edge to Kobe but lebron is a close second.

OK Cleverocks, Game 1 reminded me a lot of those first two games against the Pistons last year. But Game 2 was nothing like those games, it was a total blowout. That said, you have to remember 2006 when the Pistons wrecked the Cavs in the first two games and the Cavs still pushed the series to 7 games. Also Boston still has not shown that they can win on the road in the playoffs. They crushed Atlanta in Games 1 and 2 only to have it tied at 2-2 coming back for Game 5. So my point is I still expect this to be a long series, and hopefully the Pistons take care of business in 5 to rest up for the ECF.
