1 RUN! Sure he may not have had his best stuff last night but this is downright pathetic. Bench Thome or move him down the order to break up the punchless 1-2 of he and Konerko. Send down Wasserman and for the love of god call-up Jerry Owens. Take Uribe out back and euthanize him. Start Anderson over Swisher for the time being.
Ok, #1, Jerry Owens doesn't need to be called up, because he has no place to play, you're not going to bench Nick Swisher or Paul Konerko for some slap hitting, no OBP, no arm outfielder and get them out of their slumps.

Give the guy some time, he was awesome last year and was untouchable in the minors, it was ONE GAME.

Sea Fan, why cant we bench Konerko or Swisher? Why?! Did you see today's game w/ runners at 2nd at 3rd and no outs? Did you see the result of that inning? Quit acting like Konerko and Swisher are untouchable and give Owens a shot. W/out him, our offense is regressing.
Because we know what these guys are going to do, and that's knock in runs, yes, they're slumping right now, and like I said, bringing up a slap hitting 4th-outfielder-at-best isn't going to help them.
Yeah, they'll continue their downward spiral as they did last season, that is what they'll do. And screw helping their stats, how about the team? It is not like Owens is Ramierez where all he has is speed. Last year he hit .267 (over 300 in September), 32 stolen bases, and had a .991 fielding percentage. Keep in mind this was his rookie season. You are out of your mind if you think the way the current offense is set up is going to help this team get into the post season.
