Right now at this point in time you sort of have an argument that Kobe is better than LeBron. Even though LeBron averaged more points assists rebounds and FG%. And he has no team around him at all. Kobe is surronded with talent. LeBron makes everything look so easy and Kobe tries to make himself look so good. Another thing to remember LeBron is 23 just starting his career and Kobe is in his prime. And they are still being compared. Think of when LeBron is in his prime he will be way better than Kobe is now.

hahaha NO..lebron is overrated, get over it...CP3 on the other hand is great..but still nobody is better than KOBE...i would have more respect for your argument if you were arguing for Chris Paul...but lebron?? honestly hahaha

you cant just judge stats on a straight line basis or there is no point in arguing, wilt is the best player hands down with no argument. that my friend, is a ridiculous way to assess skill. there are way too many intangibles. just about every player in the league, including lebron himself, has time and time again referred to kobe as the best player in the league and i doubt they are trying to push an agenda. the proof is in the pudding. lebron averages more assists and thats great, but lebron plays for a team ranked near the bottom in assists, he has the ball in his hand all the time, la's offense is predicated on ball movement and 2 or 3 passes to find the best shot , not the first shot after lebron passes you the ball. la is widely regarded as the best passing team in the league and again not by raw statistics of most assist, but they possess the best ball movement bar none and get much more good shots than anyone else in the league. rebounds are gonna be in lebrons favor, he plays closer to the basket, its kobes job to get back on d to stay with guards who have the tendency to leak out or to initiate a fast break after one of his bigs secure a defensive board. but anyway, if michael jordan, Magic, larry bird say kobe's the best, i'll take there word over yours and anyone else's.

If I was starting a franchise I would take Lebron hands down. He's younger and it to Kobe 10 years in the league to figure out what Lebron started doing in his first year. TEAM PLAY and not sexually assaulting chics

Do you know the reason LeBron is averaging better stats? Because he doesn't have anyone around him. He does all the work. And the reason he has a better FG% is because hs is 6'8 and 240 of muscle and drives to the hoop all the time. Compare the 15ft and out %. Kobe is on another level, he's been on a different level for years. But many people don't like his attitude.

Yeah well Lebron last year was better than Lebron this year. Atleast the Lebron beat the Pistons and was able to lead his team to the finals.
As for Kobe vs lebron this year. M -V-P 2008. Thats all i have to say. Lebron will win in it someday but Kobe is the King this year!

&nbs p; Anybody who watches Koby play consistently can tell you that he is best overall player of the modern era. King James or Chris Paul will be the player of the next era. Who will be better statistically...I don't know. Probably James. He is a power foward in a consistently weak eastern conference. If he didn't have better rebounding and FG% than Koby or Chris Paul... I wouldn't be impressed with him at all. I still think Koby is better at taking on multiple defenders, nailing clutch shots, and influencing the flow of the game. Koby has always seemed to me to be right in the middle of everything that's happening both defensivle and offensively in a game, giving 110% always. My biggest knock on James, especially in the playoffs, is that when an entire team focuses on stopping him, they sometimes can. For as long as I can remember, since maybe Koby's first three years in the league, teams would work on trying to contain him, and they just couldn't. Even if Koby wasn't nailing buckets, he would then switch his game to interior drives to basket and constantly draw fouls. Koby NEVER gets taken out of a game. He is always imposing his will. James does get taken out of rythm sometimes in critical games. Not that James is lacking effort or leadership, he just doesn't have that little extra step in his game yet that makes him UNSTOPPABLE. But I can see it coming in time. I'd say Chris Paul right now is closer to being on the level of Koby Bryant than James.
