I know the Sox cant win every game, but last night loss was hard for me to watch. Who is at fault for the loss?

I pick Terry . I have said on many posts that he may be great with the players and their egos, but his in game managering needs alot of work. Still the most productive Sox manager in years and an all around good guy. Keep batting Jocaoby 1 and Pedroia 2 and maybe cut Freddy Kruger and we will be fine.

I definitely wanted to blame Tito for a couple of earlier losses but not last night.

Tavarez, while he sucked last night I am not going to blame him either. He is not getting any work and was, despite some of his numbers, a huge asset last year. He should not have been left off of the WS roster.

As much as I want to say we lose as a team, I just can't stand to watch Lugo play the field anymore. This year he is hitting the ball better but can't field worth a lick. The guy has made 10 errors and makes Renteria circa 2005 look like a gold glove SS. This is not the first game his fielding has cost us.  He has 1/2 of the teams 20 errors, that is ridiculous!  On top of that we are one of the better fielding teams in baseball with the worst fielding short stop.

Despite having a down year in 2006 (mainly b/c of injuries) that was the best defensive team I have EVER seen with Gonzalez at short.  I have officially given up on Lugo.

out of  all the questionable moves made by Theo Epstein signing Julio Lugo and letting Gonzalez go was probably the worst, and not signing Orlando Cabrera.

You can't really blame just one player (or manager) yes Lugo didn't field very well Papelbon didn't reach par, Bucky struggled on the mound, and plenty of other stuff went wrong, but you can't really say one player did all of it. Hey Lugo didn't pitch poorly and neither Papelbon or Bucky made any major mistakes with their gloves, Tavares had a bad outing but he's streaky so it was a risk to bring him in for relief. But look at all this from a pre game line of thinking...

Lugo has been hitting well lately and it's either him or (always graceful) Jed Lowrie at SS

Papelbon has been a phenomenal closer for the past couple of years so you can't risk not putting him in (even if he has been struggling).

Bucky is just a prospect, they're not expecting a Cy Young from him this year. He's gonna have bad outings.

Taveras is your spot starter and he hasn't been doing too badly lately so you could probably get a safe inning or two out of him.

I'd say it's nobody's fault. the L's were a team effort.
