Cliff Lee is absolutely dominant right now. The Indians guaranteed that they win the season series against New York with tonights win. They have taken 4 or 6 games with one game left to play this year. As for Lee, this was his 4th time in 6 starts that he did not give up a run, and he has pitched at least 6 innings in every start. If he keeps it up, he will win the Cy Young.

Last year it was Sabathia and Carmona dominating, this year Lee. Now, if ALL THREE get on the same kind of pitching roll Lee's been on, man.....look the hell out!!!!!

Last time I said that I got warned for it by a disgruntled Yankee fan...........
Cliff Lee is indisputably the best pitcher in the AL now

It looks like C.C. has been getting it back together too.
Still, with C.C. Carmona, Lee, Westbrook, Byrd....oh, and not to forget Laffey who gave up 0 ER yesterday....deepest rotation and best rotation in baseball.

Who would have thought that the guy who somewhat backed in to the 5th starter spot would look so good? He's changing speeds really well and using every inch of the zone. He's been the best pitcher so far this season hands down. Too bad he can't wake up the offense!

Glad to see the "best rotation" for the Indians being posted by someone other than myself for once. Now if Westbrook can just stay healthy. To think I got Lee and Westbrook early on for my fantasy teams because they were healthy. Lucky me.

It's always a pleasure to see the Indians on national TV, since we don't get many games out here in Phillies/Pirates/Orioles land, and this matchup didn't disappoint. I love pitching, but Cliff Lee absolutely blew me away tonight. There haven't been many times where I've watched a pitching performance by myself and said "wow" out loud. I hope he keeps it up, this has to be one of the best comebacks in recent memory.

Lee is pitching out of this world right now. This is the most amazing start I've seen a pitcher have especially since he had such a bad year last year. He will eventually come back down to earth at least a little. I'll say this though, even if his stats drop by 20% that will still be Cy Young type numbers. Right now it's Cliff Lee's world and the rest of baseball is just visiting.

Cliff Lee is the Indians 2008 version of Fausto Carmona...he wasn't supposed to even be in the rotation, let alone even be on the team. Carmona was like that last year, and finished near the top in Cy Young voting. Can this be the year that Cleveland pitchers win back to back Cy Youngs?

Now if the rest of the team follows his lead, his efforts won't be wasted.
I have seen comparisons to Greg Swindell's 1988 season and I know the Indians weren't a playoff team that year. What a shame it would be for the offense to continue to be offensive and Lee's fantastic season go for naught.
I am cautiously optimistic that things are finally turning around for this team. I'm not at all impressed by the offense, yet, but the pitching seems to have righted itself.
I would love to see Byrd go out today and finish off the sweep. GO TRIBE!

I hate to piss a little bad news on everyone, but unless this team starts hitting, and I am Travis Hafner's biggest fan, but he needs to get his head out of his backside, get aggressive, and start driving the ball. Until that happens, this team will never be able to get over the hump from a very good team to a championship team.
We need the Hafner of a couple of years ago. The one who drove the ball, aggressively, to the whole field.

I say the Indians line up their hitters along the third base line and let Lee, Sabathia, Betancourt, and Perez to fire fast balls at them everytime they have a bad hitting night.
But seriously, pitching has been great, hitting not so much. Like I said before, good thing thing the Central sucks. Indiand should have won 5 or 6 to 0 last night. C'mon Hafner, bases loaded, 1 out. C'mon Pronk!!!

I first have to say that wvufan82's headline idea is funny, I got a good laugh from it. I also have to say that the starting pitching this year has kept the Tribe out of the A.L. Central basement. Our hitting still sucks, but at least they finally are trying to shake things up a bit by bringing in Fransisco and giving Marte another chance, though Marte will probably just disappoint everyone again. If the pitching stays this dominant, the Tribe will win ballgames. This offense will eventually start manufacturing runs (hopefully) and if the pitching stays hot, the Tribe can get on top of the Central Division. Cliff Lee simply Rocks! Go Tribe!

Man Cliff Lee is really pitching some good ball. He easily deserves to start in the All-Star Game at his current pace and if he keeps it up, he'll get Cy Young with out a doubt. I'm just glad that he pitched so good against the Yankees. Cause everybody hates 'em. Good job Indians. Good job Cliff Lee.
