The Jazz-Lakers series has been a joke.  The reason - all you need is a star and the referees will call the game for the star's team. It happens with Spurs and Cavs all the time, and it's been atrocious for the Lakers this series. The Jazz do sometimes become a jump shooting team, but they were going to the hole last night and no calls were made.  43 free throws for the Lakers and 16 for the Jazz.  Those numbers are just not right and I don't care how the NBA tries to rationalize it.  Kobe's presence on the Lakers makes the refs call the game in the Lakers' favor.  It's almost as if the NBA needs Kobe in the conference finals versus either Chris Paul or Duncan for the postseason to be a success.

As bad as the Jazz have looked in the first half in this series, it's amazing they are only losing by 10 points a game. When the games are played in Utah, the calls will be about even, and the Lakers will still cry and moan that they are getting a bad deal because how biased the games were called in L.A.  The Lakers bitched in Games 1 and 2, so I don't think they will stop crying anytime soon.  Hopefully, Gasol's period will be over by Game 3 so I don't have to see that "why me" face every time there is contact.

Regardless of the how unfair the games have been called, the Jazz are not out of this series.  If they can find any kind of rhythm like they usually have, this team can win 2 straight in Utah and even this thing up.  With just one evenly called game in either Game 1 or 2, it would be 1-1 anyway.

The Jazz-Lakers series has been a joke.

You know what RTS?  Your whining about the disparity in fouls called is a joke!  I can literally set my watch to the time it takes for one of you losers to start a thread on the subjet coming off a Laker win.  It's amazing - do you have any idea how silly and foolish you sound?  The Jazz led the league in fouls commited per game (24)Their whole game is predicated on playing their opponents physically - what, are the refs supposed to just forget about that?  The refs call fouls when fouls are committed - that's part of what they're supposed to be doing out there, moron!

I'm sure the discrepancy will be narrowed a bit then the scene shifts to Utah.  But still, stop your freakin' whining, biatch!  I'm pretty sure that if Jerry Sloan ever caught wind of your whining and excuse making, he'd have you running laps for the next three hours.

ITS A FACT OF LIFE THAT THE HOME TEAM WILL GET A MAJORITY OF THE CALLS, BUT LIKE JEFE SAID, THE Jazz COMMIT ALOT OF FOULS BECAUSE 1, THEY PLAY PHYSICAL AND 2, THEY ARENT AS FAST AS THE Lakers.  WE HAVE A BUNCH OF GUYS THAT CAN TAKE IT TO THE HOLE, NAMELY KOBE, AND ODOM, AND FRANKLY, THE JAZZ JUST CANT KEEP UP WITH THE LAKERS, PERIOD.

Let me guess.  This was your cry for all 28 of Utah's losses this season.   I'm so sick of these fans blaming the refs.   Aggressive teams get the benefit of the calls which the Jazz were not in the first half.  If you paid attention,  they got a lot more calls in the second half when they took it to the basket.  Gee,  funny how that works, huh.

43-16.  Yep, only the Jazz were fouling in the lane.  Great ignorance buddy.

As for Sloan, he pleads his case in game.  The calls were so ridiculous, he got a tech in the first quarter.  Sloan could play the media like ole Phil, but he's got more class.  I, on the other hand, I'm tired of seeing the same crap.  Is it that hard to call the game the same for both sides?  I don't think so...

Saban, there is a reason why Utah leads the league in fouls per game, they are a physical team. They foul. Last night committing 30, and were actually on par with their season average of 24 until they had to start intentionally fouling at the end of the game. The Lakers on the other hand, were right on with their season average committing 20 fouls last night.

The discrepancy in foul shooting has more to do with the difference in style of play, rather than bias in officiating. The Lakers attacked all game, using their superior quickness and ball movement to continuoulsy beat Utah defenders, usually leaving Utah in a position where all they could do was foul. And being the physical, lead league foulers that they are, that's exactly what they'll do.

And Utah didn't get aggressive offensively until the fourth, which is why half of their free throws non-coincedentally came in that quarter. Settling for contested jumpers for three quarters isn't going to earn you many trips to the foul line.

Hey Troll Ride Seban,

It's a conspiracy and you found out!  You know the NBA let us all in on it  here in LA., but the League believed that you guys in Utah' couldn't figure it out!  You are soooooooo smart!  The ref's are soooooooooooooooooo wrong!

BTW -  The "why me" face that your reffering to is really the 'who farted' face don't you know.  Don't believe me just look at him next time he makes it and then fart and look at your wife.  See it's the 'who farted' face, and I called you smart.
