App State beat Michigan. . . the third best team in the Big 10. Either you have a weak conference or they are a respectable team.

I haven't seen OSUs, but I am sure it's full of Community colleges for the academically challenged blind kids of Ohio.

Descend??  All history and expectations aside, UM had a good team last year.  I 110% agree that the App. St. loss is one of the worst and embarassing in college football history.  Everyone lays too much on the fact that this all revolves around the UM program sucking.  You could sing that tune all day and rub UM fans raw with the wire brushing.  I'm more of a believer that App. St. had a good team to begin with, they had nothing too lose and saw a great opportunity to play their hearts out, and UM completely overlooked them.  I would also say that the pathetic loss to Oregon was due largely to the jet lag effect of disbelief still fresh in the UM players' minds.  I think that's the more realistic approach rather than just being a Big Ten/UM basher and saying they suck.  But hey, I know there is 2 sides to it all, and the App. St. thing will be around for years.  I'm also realistic in the fact that I as a UM fan crave a more dominant run than the downhill slide we've seen displayed over the last 5 yrs.  Too many talented players with too many inconsistent moments.

What everybody is forgetting here is that EVERY SEC team has a weak OCC schedule, because those teams are OCC (not in the SEC)  Get it???

"IF TT wanted credibity, they would play LSU anywhere....."........IF LSU wanted "Credibilty" as the 2007 National "champs" then they would NIOT BE SCARED TO PLAY SOMEWHERE......

Look, this can be afruged both ways, but Texas Tech TOOK the dealwith a Home and HOME and GAVE LSU the 2008 first game in Baton Rouge...... LSU refused to travel to Lubbcok which is not as far as some SEC rivals.... they just did not want to Travel to a team that "COULD" beat them..... and since that eam would not have enough NAME recognigition or credit, it would wipe them out of a NC shot.....

if you losse to a USC, MICH, or UF early, it can be overcome, but being beat by a Texas Tech, who could even finish 12-0 would still be looked as by the media as a devistating loss.....

LSU broke off the deal....not Tech. LSU would have been on prime time, at a 52,000+ sold out stadium in prime time in lubbock. And they could have taken out the thePOSSIBLE BIG12 south champs in week one, which would have gave them a HUGE points push for the NC later in 2009......

The LOST on this deal, and they were SCARED. they had much to gain, but they wieghed the possibiltes and thought it was better shot NOT to play TT......

How can that mean anything EXEPT that they felt they could LOOSE......

Any man on here will stand up for himself.... not just with his fist, but if you are going to scream "I am the man" and then walk away from a "3rd tear team" who even gives you "first swing" or a bat...... then you are scared..... tell me i am wrong....

Maybe, but they are still a good team, especially when you play them at 50%. I'm not saying anything more than It's not as bad of an OOC as people are looking at.

Contrary to popular belief, ASU is a three time Division AA NATIONAL Champion. There are a lot of Division 1A teams that would rather not play ASU. After seeing that OSU scheduled USC, I look forward to the game. I don't like either team, but it should be an amazing game.

My only problem with it is it's not being played in Glendale, Arizona. That and I think this could be the weakest USC team in years, considering they lost their QB and key parts of their defense to the Draft. I don't feel bad for Pete Carroll, but It's going to be interesting to see how good their passing game is. Don't really know anything about OSU's situation though.

IMO, The Passing game is the most important part of the college offense.

If you are wondering about OSU's passing game situation, Todd Boeckman starting QB returns he was up and down last year needs to be more consistent, All WRs return (Brian Robiskie and Brian Hartline Are #1 And #2) and they add true freshman Jake Stoneburner who is 6-5 with 4.46 speed and true freshman DeVier Posey who was regarded as the WR most ready for the college game in this past recruiting class, both TEs are back but they werent really used much in the passing game last season.

Also Brando Saine a speedster HB will be used out of the backfield to catch passes

Chris Wells of course is the anchor of the running game and he will be 100% healthy this season (he was playing hurt almost all last season)

All but 1 starting offensive linemen returns as well

Gholston is the only player on defense Ohio State lost

I agree that it's not a hard schedule, but they do have a  tough conference schedule.

You got a point 89......That is a joke as far as a schedule goes....one would think with the glorified BCS they would get some more quality teams to face.....
