for both teams? No. Shade cast by the press box on the west side of the stadium will keep the mighty Devils out of the elements. And when on the field the specially designed (and patented) ASU "cool stream" helmet will keep the players fresh. But as BD stated, it's a dry heat so 110 will feel no worse than 108 or so.
I wonder if UGA will break out their black jerseys for this game...

Devil,
Actually Black would work just nice, but you know the NCAA. Visitors to every stadium in Division 1 must wear white, unless playing in Baton Rouge. They have a special permit to wear white at home.
Black would work though. When in Iraq, we had tankers vests with air conditioning coolant. Have been working with the Dawgs this year to have them use it for our games. Still,we save energy when we put them into the white jersies. Should keep us around 72F, which coupled with your nice humidity should make it quite pleasant.

Gatorz --
"I guess playing FSU through their constant #1 or #2 rankings in the late-80s and 90s doesn't count huh? Also, playing Miami H&H every few years is easy too, huh? Just because they are down the last couple of years, we suddenly don't play anyone OOC? I guess it would behoove you to dismiss anything past 2002, seeing as how your team was crap through the 90s, and you played nobodies back then as well."
-- Keep up with the thread man. I said everything you just said above about Florida. I guessed you missed it.
-- We were crap in the 90s. Okay, I have no problem with that. Shall we go back further and compare Florida football overall to USC football? Shall we compare what we did this decade? It is all good. If you have followed any of the threads... I have said that I respect Florida because of their high standards as well as their head coach.
USC did not set the trend, but you have to admit they along with the Pac 10 has consistently had the best OOC scheduling.
Peace.

D = Once again LSU plays 7 quality opponts in conference and osu play;s 2.
So, you are calling Mississippi (3-9), Mississippi State (8-5), South Carolina (6-6), and Alabama (7-6) "quality" opponents above the caliber of Wisconsin (9-4), Purdue (8-5), Michigan State (7-6), Penn State (9-4), Illinois(9-4), and Michigan (9-4)?
(3&9 Memphis beat Northwestern State (4-7 1-AA), Memphis (7-6), & Lousiana Tech (5-7))

It'll cool a little when the sun goes down, but not much.
You should have come up with the tanker vest/coolant idea for this past Sugar Bowl. In fact, strapping a personal A/C unit on each Dawg to pack around might have evened things up and made for a competitive game.

Devil,
Actually, we thought about it. But it was damn cold in NOLA this year. Even if it was 72 indoors. But even theAC bag wouldn't have made much difference in the game.

Dawg, how do you find these stats (Pac 10 vs SEC bowl games)? BTW, when was the last time they played?
I know we lost in Hawaii to Bama in 1985- our QB (Rodney Peete) ruptured his Achilles tendon and it was all down hill, and then the next year lost to Auburn in the Citrus Bowl - no one even cared to play in the game because our coaches got fired on Xmas eve. But can't remember many others.

Ok VT,
I find it amusing..(actually really lol) that you seem to have such an obsession with LSU's stength of schedule. I know that last years season was difficult for you..but do you really think LSU didnt have a tough enough schedule.
&nbs p; After such a year, particularly after winning a national championship,I dont think that many programs would turn down opportunity for 8 home games. Also, I personally dont think Texas Tech would be significantly increasiing caliber of opposition. The idea of LSU(or most of SEC teams) having too weak a schedule is not credible. Your issue is last years season...and your obsession with LSU is, I think, revealing.

Ok VT,
I find it amusing that you seem to be preoccupied ,,,obsessed..with LSU's strength of schedule. I believe that your real issue is last years season. I do not believe that given last seasons schedule, particularly with culminating in a natl championship, that many programs would turn down an opportunity to play 8 home games. In additon, I do not think that Texas Tech would significantly improve the overall caliber of opposition. The idea of almost any SEC team having a schedule that is too weak is simply not credible.
Your comment "What a joke" was particularly revealing. I think the joke is your choosing to deal with last seasons debacle by focusing on LSU's OOC schedule...and thinking Texas Tech additon would make any significant difference. I mean...we could have scheduled VT again. You did finish 9th for heavens sake...respectable.
The fans would have been in favor of scheduling USC, but I hear they refused to travel. I am not clear what Virgina Tech's reason was. ...but I am sure it will all turn out ok. I am sure their sos will turn out fine...respectable even...far from a joke. We could even trac LSU and VT sos through the season...just for fun...what da ya say?...oh and lose a little of the resentment and you'll feel better.
