Well Time to hit the bed as I have to check into the hospital at 7:00am to get ready for them to chop chop(surgery)!  I'll see you all after I am well enough to sit up here and type!

May the Lord always be your guiding light!

Phantom nudges ogr and shows him a box of large rubber bands, then points at carolinablue and whispers, "soon".

The official count is in. 60 staples over 3 incisions. Yippee.

Geno, good luck with the surgery. Take comfort, as I did, that there are many praying for you. Oh, and pray that I'm forgiven for what I said to the woman who came to get me out of ICU the day following surgery and ran the gurney into the one I was laying on!!! Hopefully you'll have no incidents like that to inspire a less than Christian response...hehehe

OGR thinks about the staples to come out and thinks he has a more useful projectile than the rubber bands. However, might sting a little more. Poor CB, two gunners and only one target. Have to find more back benchers to involve.

Good to see you back Pahntom and it is good to be back myself. Wish you would stay away from those doctors that think they are so funny. Sounds like the last one you had was a real cut up.

I want to thank everyone for your prayers and fellowship on this thread. God is so good and one thing I love about being a Christian is that we are all his childern and we can lift each other up on a daily basis. Razorwolf, you have been here longer than me so by all means everyone please refer to Razorwolf as Razor, you all can call me RBG or Razorback, or whatever you like, just don't call me Shirley!

Lord, I thank you for this new day. I ask that you keep a hand on all of my brothers and sisters in Christ that post on this thread. I thank you in advance for your blessings and I thank you for the new job that you are going to provide for me! god, I love you with all of my heart and I praise you. You are the only worthy King that deserves to be praised!

In Jesus Christ name I pray......Amen!

Welcome back Razor and I guess we call the other RBG (just not Shirley).   Good to see you ogr.   The  last couple pages since I posted seem to be just one huge testimony of the power of prayer.  So many needs met, it is wonderful.   I wish to thank all of those who prayed for me during my hip replacement, rehab is coming along slow but sure, thank you Jesus for my healing and all the wonderful things done here.

OGR

I think the reason that has left our country is because our schools and many other governmental institutions have left God. The only thing is that when push comes to shove, no one can legislate God away. Columbine was, for me, a red letter day. God came back to school and evil was eventually quashed. Jesus will come back to judge the quick and the dead. It is kind of inspiring to know there are still signs that no matter how hard they try, the forces of evil marshalled against God are always destined to fail.

I think our schools reflect a lot about our society as a whole.  I don't know if it got out to the rest of the country through the media filter, but a large number of believing kids and their families had a tremendous witness, that even through the terrible tragedy, they were more than conquerors through their Lord Jesus.  They sang contemporary gospel at the memorial service, and a number of kids gave their tesimonies and shared the gospel.  It was widely covered here in Colorado, but I doubt if the major media in L.A. and New York would allow that out on their networks.

Rest assured, there are many public school teachers and administrators who honor God, teach positive values, and pray (in school) regularly.  We just can't lead public prayer in front of our classes, teach doctrinally, and openly recrut for our churches.  We can influence kids in many, many other ways, and many are serving faithfully.

I somtimes am a little concerned that public education has become the "enemy" due to politicization of both the right and left.  The NEA is, of course, largely responsible for this, but be mindful of your brothers and sisters who are laboring in these institutions, as well.  We are needed, and I don't think that many of these kids would receive the gifts of our ministry if all schools went private, or charter.

Geno, my brother, you will be in my prayers. Hope everything went well today.

KIR and Phantom...it's great to see you both on the mend. Back at full strength in no time, I'm sure.

Razor...I pray that everything continues to move forward with Adam, as you are what he needs in his life.... Keep up the good work, and show em' that Adam won't have a pushover in front of him! God bless, my dear friend.
