Here is what he said regarding Clayton Kershaw on his latest video post.

"It's almost time for the Clayton Kershaw show.  Dodgers GM Ned Colletti saw the prized left hander pitch well on double A on Friday night and the Dodgers appear ready to integret Kershaw into their Major League staff.  Kershaw would alternate as a starter and reliever; starting two times then spending two weeks in the bullpen.  That way the Dodgers could limit his innings to 150, Esteban Loaiza would start the games that Kershaw does not."  Ken Rosenthal

Well....I have to admit it....I am on the fence now. I have said no way to bringing up Kershaw this early....but its getting really hard not to. Still on the fence.

I wonder why James McDonald hasnt been given a chance.

I would be in favor of that style of limiting his innings, on the exception it happens more frequent in the early-to-middle part of the season, and less at crunch time.

I'm still on the fence too... things are going pretty well right now...not sure I want to disrupt the chemistry of what's going on.. Obviously not everyone on the team is playing up to expectations...but the fact is right now.. at this point..we have more players playing up to or exceeding their expectations than we do players playing below their expectations...the team is pretty solid right now...not perfect by any means..but there are no teams that have a perfect 25 man roster... we don't need a fifth starter until May 17th...maybe we see how we're going the next two weeks and then decide...we won't be seeing  Kuo or Loaiza starting until then...hopefully we can keep up the good fortune with the team we have now...

I'd rather be dominant in August and September than now...

Another consideration is that there is a big difference in the routine for a starting pitcher and a reliever. Bouncing a guy back and forth between those roles can really mess a guy up. Especially with a young guy, you want him to be able to get into his groove and stay there, not constantly have to switch gears. And in this instance you'd be doing that to two players: Clayton Kershaw and Esteban Loaiza.

Kershaw is awesome and he will help the Dodgers this season. But I expect that to be later rather than sooner. As some of the other posters have noted, the team's got a great roll going right now and you don't want to mess up all that chemistry.

LAD_Bamfers...I saw it on foxsports.com  I'll find a link.  It's the last story on his full count video.  You can move it forward to the story if you dont want to hear about the other players.

I've been an advocate for calling up Kershaw for a while now, but I can't say I like the idea of bouncing back and forth. Wouldn't it make more sense to limit his innings in the minors (maybe move him up to AAA Vegas), then bring him up as a full time starter sometime after the all star break? That or just call him up and use him out of the bullpen like was done with Billingsley last year. Either way the kid has proven he can get big league hitters out and that means he can help the club.

In other news, did the D-backs looks pathetic against Jamie Moyer (and his 80mph fastball) or what?
