I meant to get in here earlier but wasn't home till now, went to a Jazz Party but it seemed I was the only one having a good time. Both teams played like crap, but I have to agree with whichever sportscaster said during the game that it just looks like the Lakers were toying around with them, Jazz would get close and then LA would go up by 10 again just to let the Jazz cut it to 4 then put them back down by 9 or 10 +. I personally wasn't impressed with either teams play today, but I know I'm feeling a lot better then you guys are.
And Scorched, I know the Jazz taking one in LA is a real possibility coming here with the split, but I'm pretty sure the only split is happening in Utah.
Good, but not to much luck for the rest of the way.
Go Lakers !!!!!! On our way to # 15.

I dunno, scgamecocks - I saw the game yesterday and I must respectfully agree with pureair on this one. I though the Lakers played a decent enough game but allowed the Jazz to have their way on the boards and that just cannot happen again. I also thought both Gasol and Odom were a little off their games (as indicated by the rebounding discrepancy) and if it weren't for some very timely made shots by both Vujacic and Radmanovic in the early going, and Kobe throughout, the Jazz were in danger of stealing this first game. I think the Lakers will definitely make the requisite adjustments in Game 2 to clean things up to not allow the let up that they did in the 2nd half of Game 1. The Jazz had their chances but could not capitalize - I don't see them coming this close again in the series...sorry. They simply do not have any viable answer for Kobe - and that's a huge problem for them because I don't see Pau and Lamar having this bad a game moving forward.

Pureair23,
Toying around with them?
Give me a break that is the stupidist thing I've ever heard teams don't just toy around with each other there is way to much at stake, besides despite what you might think the Lakers aren't that superior to the other teams in the west including the Jazz. I agree that both teams looked like crap. The Jazz couldn't hit a jump shot down the stretch or it could have been a different game, and Kobe (MVP?) tried his best to be the Jazz's MVP and keep them in it in the 4th. Did you see how bad he missed some of those shots? My 4 year old could get the ball that close to the rim. I think the Lakers shake off the rust and the Jazz are better rested and we see a much closer game 2. I dont think the Jazz win this series because they don't have the home court but I think its going to be way to close for comfort for you naive Lakers fans! Lakers in 7 in a close game. But I hope I'm wrong go Jazz!!!!!

Didn't pay attention to the game. Don't be an stupid. The Lakers played a great first half, and played like garbage in the second. Even your boys Dave Fox, Locke, and Nasalkie said the same thing as well as the guy's on ESPN. You guys had your shot at stealing that one, but LA did just enough to win it.
Maybe the Jazz brought their A game, but playing LA makes it look like a B.

Pureair can't you read? (or spell for that matter.... don't be an stupid)
The Jazz did bring their A game that was far short of their A game, but that wasn't far of LA's A game. This will be a series. The Jazz won't will but it will go 7.

First the Jazz did not play their A game. Too many TO's in the first half and way too many easy misses in the 2nd. Don't think for a minute that LA was toying with anyone.... actually the Laker's didn't look that good. The possibility for the Jazz to win the next in LA is their,,but only from they can exert their game on the Laker's

I don't see them coming this close again in the series...sorry.Jefe-- So are you saying this series is going to be a sweep? Would you like to put some money on that? Jesus Christ, can you Laker fans show any kind of humility or respect? It's like the Dallas Cowboy fans of the NBA. Seriously I'll put up $100 against the Lakers sweeping. I've said before that I think LA will probably win this series, but talking about a sweep is asinine.

I'll take the first 5 Laker fan comers. I'm putting up $500 to the first 5 LA Laker fans that will take even money on a sweep. Come get it.
